In short, the earlier we manage our own lives, the better it is for our future.

Today, people want to keep healthy through sports and exercise. But some of them have some wrong (错误的) ideas about it.

“A plate of chicken is a good meal before games because it has much energy (能量).”

In fact, the best meal before games should have carbohydrates (碳水化合物). Foods like potatoes, bread, bananas are rich in them, but meat, such as chicken and beef, is not.

Morning is a good time to exercise, but it may not be good for you. If afternoon or evening is OK for you and you enjoy the feeling of getting healthier, you can choose any time to exercise. So there is no fixed time for you to exercise.

“If you drink water when you exercise, you’ll feel tired.”

You must have some water during breaks (休息期间) when you exercise. And after exercising, you must have enough water. If you don’t drink enough water, then you may feel tired.

“Exercising every day is quite important.”

Wrong. Too much exercise is bad for your health. You need to give your body a day of rest.

Long March (长征) exhibit (展览)

The Shenzhen History Museum is putting on an exhibition to mark the 61st anniversary (周年纪念) of the Long March. There are more than 220 photos and some other things that show how the Red Army made the Long March from Jiangxi Province to northern Shanxi Province in the mid ­1930s.

Thai elephants

Eight elephants from Thailand are entertaining visitors at the Window of the World by riding bicycles, playing basketball, balancing on a beam (梁), dancing and blowing a harmonica (口琴). People are encouraged to lie on the ground and have the elephants step over them. The elephants give three shows a day at 9:30 am, 3:30 pm and 8:00 pm and there is an additional (另外的) show at 1:30 pm at weekends.

Dancing dolphins (海豚)

Dolphins leaping from the water to touch a ball, swaying (摇摆) their bodies to music, kissing people and doing maths by tapping their tails have made the dolphinarium (海豚水族馆) in Shenzhen Ocean Park an attraction for children. Seals and sea lions also perform.

Hours: 10:30 am, 4:00 pm, and 7:30 pm

Admission: 40 yuan for adults and 20 yuan for children.
