Mr. Baker worked in an office. Once he was asked to a friend’s birthday party. His friends knew he had a wonderful voice (声音) and asked him 1． (sing) a few French songs. He did as his friends asked. And he was introduced to a beautiful girl who was born in a rich family. Soon they married (结婚) and her father 2． (give) them a lot of money. They had their own house and cars. Mrs. Baker did nothing at home and they lived a happy life.

Pointing to (指着) the old shirt, she said,   “Look! There’re some holes in your old shirt, too.”

Most students don’t enjoy doing housework. Some of them think that cleaning the bathroom or cooking dinner for the family is boring. However, 5.if you try the following ways, you will find that housework is not as boring as you think.

Learn to do small things

You should learn to do small things, such as doing the dishes, sweeping the floor and making the bed. Part of growing up is to be able to take care of yourself. Doing some small things around the house shows that you are becoming responsible (有责任感的).

Divide(分开) housework among the family

In fact, it’s too tiring for one person to do all the housework alone. It’s good to divide housework into different parts. All the family members will do the housework together. Dividing housework among all the family members will make everyone’s job much easier.

Make it fun

Cooking is one part of housework. Cooking can be very funny if you put your heart into it. If you learn how to cook your favorite food, you will also get a feeling of satisfaction.

What do you usually do at the weekend? Some people like being at home, but some like to go out for a walk, visit friends or enjoy 1． (they) weekends outside. They seldom stay at home.

My friend Jim works 2． (hard) in a factory on weekdays. At 3．, he always does the same thing. On Saturday, he 4． (wash) his car because it’s very dirty. When I was sixteen years old, a boy gave me an important gift. It was a smile.
