China impresses the world in the year 2022. In the past months, we have seen several important events that showed the world a strong China. Here we take a look back at them.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games closed on February 20. (1) Themed “Together for a Shared Future” , the Games drew attention of the world successfully. Athletes (运动员) competed bravely on the ice and snow, achieving their dreams. They encouraged people around the world with their spirits. Behind stage, Chinese food and culture impressed international athletes. Many shared photos and videos of their life on social media, telling Chinese stories to the world. (2) Beijing 2022 gave the world a window on China.

While Beijing 2022 reflects rich Chinese culture, the great progress in science and technology shows the ability to innovate (创新). (3) On December 4, China welcomed three heroic astronauts home. After flying around Earth for six months, they came back home safely. During the stay in space, they gave lively science lessons from the Tiangong space station. (4)那让上百万的孩子们爱上了太空科学。What’s more, December 2, the Shenzhou XV spacecraft rose into space and another three astronauts were sent into the space station. They will make a further step in the exploration (探索) of space.

All these great achievements show the power of China. (5) 我们为我们的祖国而自豪。We strongly believe that China will surely move forward to an even brighter future.

This term is from September to January. Our school starts (开始) on September 1st, and we have lots of things for you this term. We have an English Day on September 11th. We have a soccer game on September 17th. That’s fun. On October 13th, we have an art festival. We can see many great pictures on that day. And on October 28th, we have a school day. Parents can come to our school to learn with us. We have an English Party on November 25th. And we will go on a school trip on December 2nd. Then on December 31st, we have the New Year’s Party. I think we can have a good time. We are very busy this term, but we are happy to have interesting things.

What’s your favorite month? We ask the students in Class Two. 1． Alan likes December best. Because his and his mother’s birthdays are in December and he thinks it is a happy thing. 2． Mary’s favorite months are July and August, because she likes summer and she doesn’t go to school. She thinks it’s relaxing. She also (也) likes September. 3． She can meet different teachers, too. She thinks it’s an interesting thing. Tom likes November and his favorite sport is ping-pong. In November, there is a ping-pong game in his school.
