Every day, the sun rises up and goes down. Then the moon rises up and goes down. We can see the sun, the moon and the stars every day, and all of them are in the universe(宇宙). The sun is much bigger than the earth and the earth is much bigger than the moon. But sometimes we may feel that they are in the same size. It’s because the sun is far away from us, and the moon is our nearest neighbor.

At night, when you look up into the sky, you will see the moon. There is no water or air on it and nobody can live there. You may find the moon is bigger than the stars. But actually, some of the stars are even bigger than the sun.

Hi, I’m Bill. I’m twelve years old. I’m tall and strong. I like playing basketball. I like blue. I like spring best because there are beautiful flowers everywhere. I like to read storybooks. But three years ago, I was short and thin. I couldn’t ride my bike or play basketball. I wasn’t good at English. Then I changed a lot. Now I can ride my bike well. I play basketball every day. And the robots can help us cook, wash the dishes. Before there were many trees, green grass, blue sky and clean rivers. Now, there are more and more buildings. So many animals have no home. We also have no green grass, blue sky and clean rivers. We should help the earth (地球) from now.

I had a dream last night. In my dream, I could swim. I was a little fish. That was amazing. I could swim happily with my friends. We swam in the beautiful sea. Suddenly, a big shark saw me and wanted to eat me. I was afraid. I wanted to swim away and go back home. I tried to swim away. But I couldn’t swim fast. I could do nothing. I began to cry, “Mum, help me.” Then I woke up. I was in bed. Mum asked me, “Why are you crying, dear?” Aha, it was all a dream.

I stayed at home for about a month because of the epidemic(疫情). I find great changes have taken place(发生) in my hometown(家乡). Before, the houses in my hometown were very old and poor, but now many people have moved into tall buildings. There are a lot of tall buildings here and there. There is a river behind my house. Before the water in the river was very dirty, but now the water is very clean and people can ‘swim in it. People walked or rode bikes to go to work before, but now they can take buses or drive their own cars to work.

Food is another big difference. There weren’t any super- markets so we grew our own food. We would exchange some with people from other towns to buy the things we didn’t have. We didn’t have fridges so we kept things cool in a special room. But now there is a fridge in each family. People live a happier life now.

Thirty years ago, my grandparents were young. They didn't wear glasses. Grandma was beautiful. She was a nurse. Grandpa was thin and tall. He was a teacher. He went to work by bike. He liked playing badminton.

Now they are old. They wear glasses. Grandpa can't ride now. He often goes for a walk with grandma after dinner.

Mrs. Jones was a teacher. Her house was not far from her school, and she often walked there in the morning. All the students in the school were very young. One cold and windy morning in October, Mrs. Jones walked to school. The cold wind went into her eyes and big tears （泪）began to run out of them. She reached (到达) the school and went into the classroom.

It was nice and warm there. Mrs. Jones was very happy, but then a small boy looked at her for some time, put his arms round her and said: “Don’t cry, Mrs. Jones. School isn't very bad.”

Lily is my best friend. Last year she was a shy girl in our class. She was short and fat. Her face was round, like an apple. She had long black hair and wore glasses. She liked red very much. She was often late for school.

Now Lily is eleven years old. She is tall and thin. Her hair is short. She doesn’t like the color red. She likes yellow. Today she is wearing a yellow sweater, blue jeans and brown shoes. She likes getting up early, so she is never late for school. She likes to talk to others. She is active now.
