The Lantern Festival (元宵节) is a popular festival in China. It is in February or March, fourteen days after the Spring Festival. We also call it yuanxiao. It means family reunion (团圆) and happiness. On this festival, we usually go out after dinner and watch lanterns in the streets or in the parks. There are many people and lantern shows there. The lanterns look very beautiful at night. Children are very happy at the Lantern Festival. And they can make lanterns and hold (拿着) them in their hands. These lanterns are in different colours and shapes (形状). We like watching them very much. At the Lantern Festival, we usually eat small dumpling balls.
