Heading back to college this January? One of your biggest expenses is likely to be textbooks. A report shows that college students spend about $1200 on textbooks on average. 1.

Turn to online resources.

Buying books online is not a new idea. Today, there are tons of websites where you can find your books. 2. They allow you to compare the cost from several different sites by a price comparison tool.

3.

One reason textbooks are so expensive is that they’re constantly “updated”, even when the update involves only very small edits. For classes with course content that’s stable (稳定的) from year to year, just reach out to your professor to ask whether the latest edition is necessary.

Save with used books.

4. You can get a used book in good condition for up to 60% off. Just remember, you have to be okay with some broken and folded pages.

Buy e-books whenever you can.

E-books are a great choice. Not only do they cost less than the printed ones, they’re also more convenient. Depending on the e-reader you use, you can highlight certain passages and search the text for keywords. You can also take screenshots of graphs. 5.

A.Consider buying the older edition.
B.Turn to your professor for second-hand books.
C.Still, there’re plenty of ways you can save on textbooks.
D.Some textbook websites might be better places to start, though.
E.As for college textbooks, one of the best ways to save money is to buy used.
F.Even used textbooks at the bookstore will be sold at a higher price than online.
G.Even if you don’t have an e-reader, you can still read on your laptop or smartphone.

There’s a lot to see in Badlands National Park (BADL). Castle Trail: A Badlands National Park Favorite We’re kicking things off with the longest trail in the park-and it is an excellent one. This 5-mile journey takes you through the backcountry of Badlands, with the main destination being the incredible Castle Rock formation. Along the way, you’ll hike through grassland. And as always in the Badlands, watch out for snakes.

And it’s one of the best places for North American bison. But remember to always stay in your vehicle, and never get out to approach a bison. This is not only illegal, but can cost you your life.

Ascend the Amazing Saddle Pass Trail
