Hello! My name is Bill. I’m an English boy. Now I’m in China with my sister Sally, my parents Jack and Kate.

In China, November 11th is a special day. On that day, many people buy a lot of things online (在线的).

This year, my mother buys some things for us. They are a quilt, four jackets, two cups and a pen. The quilt is blue. It’s for me. The red jacket is for my mother. The two yellow jackets are for Sally and me. The black jacket is for my father. The white cup is for Sally and the other cup is for my mother. It’s green. The black pen is for Sally.

My mother likes shopping online. She says it’s convenient (方便的). She doesn’t need to go out and the couriers (快递员) deliver things home.

In many English schools, students have cooking (烧饭) classes. You may think this is mysterious. School is for math and English, isn’t it?

If students learn some life skills (生活技能), when they are out of school or home, they don’t have to go to McDonald’s every day!

They have cooking classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When they have cooking classes, they learn easy dishes (菜肴) like meat loaves (肉饼). They take the things they need to cook the meal in class. Then they take the food home.

However, sometimes things aren’t good. It’s difficult to carry (携带) food around in your schoolbag. The dish can spill (溢出) and you have food on your books and homework, but you learn how to cook. It’s also great to cook something to eat for your family.

Bruce’s uncle has a big farm. His uncle and his aunt work on the farm every day. Today is Sunday. Bruce and his family go to the farm to help with their work.

Many animals, like chickens, cats, fish and dogs are on the farm. They can see many green vegetables here, too. In the morning, Bruce and his father help do some farm work. Very soon, it’s time for lunch. Bruce’s aunt cooks chicken, fish and many vegetables for them. Bruce says, “I don’t like vegetables at all at home. But today’s vegetables are so nice and I like them a lot.” “But they are the same as those at our home,” his mom says. Bruce doesn’t think so. And he tells his uncle, “If (如果) I have time next Sunday, I’ll come to help you again (再一次).”

It is January 22nd. It’s my friend Mary’s __________ birthday. She has __________ good friends. I am one of them. She asks __________ to go to her party. And we want to buy some gifts (礼物) for her.

Lily knows Mary likes playing tennis very much, so she buys a tennis ball for her. Jack thinks __________ and pears are Mary’s favorite fruit, __________ he buys some bananas and pears for her.
