My friend Jack works in a bus company (公司). He works hard from Monday to Friday. At weekends, he always does different things. On Saturdays, he stays at home. He usually listens to music, reads books and watches TV with his sons. Sometimes he goes fishing with me. On Sundays, he goes to a farm by car with his family. His uncle and aunt live there. The farm is not big but they can do a lot of things. There are some chickens and ducks on the farm. The children feed (喂) the animals. Jack and his wife (妻子) help in the field (田地). They are tired but happy. And Jack’s aunt cooks them a big dinner.

At weekends, some people like to stay at home, some like to go out to play. My brother Leo works in a factory during (在……期间) the day. At weekends he always does the same thing. On Saturday he drives his car to a farm with our families. Our uncle and aunt have a large farm. We can do a lot of things there. My brother and my parents help to do farm work. I help to give food to their animals. At the end (结束) of the day, we all feel hungry. My uncle and aunt give us a big meal. We enjoy (享受) the weekend on their farm.

Mr Black likes fish very much. He often buys some fish in the shop and takes them home for supper. His wife, Mrs Black often asks her friends to their home to have lunch and eat fish.

One day, when Mr Black comes home in the evening, he cannot find his fish. And Mrs Black says their cat has eaten the fish. Mr Black is very angry. He takes the cat to the shop near their house to weigh (称) the cat. He says, "You see, my fish is one kilo (公斤), and this cat is one kilo too. My fish is here. Then where is my cat?"

Today is Sunday, it is October now. Our class has a picnic in a nature park. There are three groups. The first group is collecting leaves, there are many golden leaves, they look like the butterflies. The second group is catching butterflies, it is very interesting. And my group is taking pictures. We want to remember this wonderful day.

Weekends to people mean (意味着) that they can have two-day good rest. For example (例如), they can go out to visit their friends and relatives. They can enjoy interesting CDs with their family. Everyone spends (度过) weekends in his own way. Within two days, some people listen to music, read books or watch films. Some people play basketball, swim or dance. I often spend my weekends with my friends. Sometimes I visit my friends, sometimes I go to the library to read books. I like reading. Outing (远足) is my favourite way of spending weekends. I have a lot of fun at weekends.

Hello, my name is Peter. I study at a middle school in the UK. School days usually begin at 9 a.m. in the UK. So I usually go to school at 8:45 a.m. School is over at 3:30 p.m. So I have enough time to go to different clubs.

I’m good at all my lessons. But my favourite lesson is Cooking. All my teachers are very friendly and helpful. I never go home for lunch, I have lunch at school with my classmates. After lunch, we often go to the school field. Sometimes we play ball games, sometimes we just sit under the trees, reading or chatting. Sometimes we also go to the Computer Center to listen to music or send e-mails to our friends.

I like my school and have a wonderful time at school every day.
