The polar bear is very big and white. We call it the polar bear because it lives inside the Arctic Circle (北极圈) near the North Pole (北极). And there is no polar bear at the South Pole (南极). The polar is white and it’s difficult to see it in the snow. It has a very warm coat because it’s very cold at the North Pole. The polar bear can stand on its back (后面的) legs because it has very big feet. It can swim with its front legs. And it can swim very well. If the polar bear is afraid of something, it will jump into the water.

The Cat’s Family

My family is not very big. There are only three cats. I’ m a white cat. I have a long tail. People call me Snow-white. My husband(丈夫) is a black cat. He has four strong feet. He can run and jump. He can catch mice. People call him Captain Black Cat(黑猫警长). We have a beautiful daughter(女儿). Her name is Lily. She is black and white. She has two big eyes. She’s only two years old. We love her very much.

We live a happy life. We work hard to catch the mice. We must let people live a happy life in this house. We are people’s animal friends.

Many people like keeping dogs. Dogs are also like to be with people because people and dogs can be very good friends.

What does a Dog Look Like?

Some dogs are big and some are very small. They hear well with their ears. Their fur makes them warm. When dogs are happy, they wag their tails.

What are Puppies?

Puppies are also names for baby dogs. Mum dogs usually give birth to three, four or more puppies at one time. From birth, puppies drink milk from their mum for about four weeks.

What do Dogs Eat and Do?

Dogs should eat right food. Chocolate makes them ill. Dogs likes running. When you walk a dog in a park, you need a lead.

Nemo is a little fish. He lives in the sea. He is very lonely (寂寞的). He wants to have a friend and the friend must look like him. Nemo sees an ink fish. The ink fish has eight legs. He doesn’t look like Nemo, so Nemo goes away. Nemo meets a shark (鲨鱼). He wants to say hello to the shark. But the shark suddenly opens his big mouth and wants to catch him. Nemo runs away quickly. He is tired and hungry. He wants to have a rest. Then he sees a round fish. The fish says to him, “Hello! Would you like to be my friend?” Nemo answers, “Of course. But you are round, I am flat (扁平的). ” The round fish says, “But we are both fish. ” Nemo thinks and says, “You are right. Let’s be friends. ” So they become good friends.

I have a good friend in my home. It’s a cat. Its name is Mini. It’s white and yellow. And it’s very beautiful. I play with it after school. It often plays with a ball or string (细绳). My friends Mary and Alice come to see it, but it is behind the sofa or in a box. So they can’t find it. Our family sit on a sofa and it can go there with us. In the evening, I must study at my desk, but it is on the desk too. At that time, I put it down. I like my good friend very much.

Bob is an old man. He has two big houses and a new car. He has no wife, but he is a father of four children. He has two sons (儿子) and two daughters (女儿). One son is from England. His name is Bill. The other son is from America. His name is Mike. One of his daughters is from China. Her name is Lanlan. The other one is from Japan. Her name is Nikon.

Bob is not the children’s real father. But he loves them very much. The children love their “father”, too. Bob has many toys for the children. He gives different toys to different children. The boys play with toy cars. The girls play with dolls and toy animals. Bob is the children’s “father”, and he is their good friend, too.

Maybe you like animals. But what do animals eat? Different animals like different food. It’s very interesting.

The mouse smells the meat on the table. He wants to eat it in his hole. The dog puts the bones in the yard(院子). He often eats them later. The bird looks for worms(蠕虫). She will feed them to her babies. The squirrel puts the nuts(坚果) in the tree trunk(树干). She will eat them in winter. The bear catches the fish in the river. She will take them to her children. The frog eats the flies in the air.

Mother kangaroos keep their babies safe in their pockets (袋子). They eat grass and leaves. They also like eating roots and some plants. Baby kangaroos stay in their mother's pocket for 5-6 months.
