Different people have different hobbies. My hobby is collecting stamps.

When I was 8 years old, my father bought (买) me the first stamp for a present on my birthday. From then on, I liked to collect stamps. Now I have about 1000 stamps. They are from different places. On the stamps there are many interesting things. Some of them are about flowers. Some of them are about famous people. Some are about buildings and animals…

Let me show you two of my favourite stamps. The first one is about people. There are some doctors, nurses and policemen on it. They are working together to help sick people. I like it best. Another one is about a cute panda. From this stamp, I know that panda is the treasure (珍宝) animal in China. People all over the world love the panda very much. Collecting stamps is very interesting. I can have some fun and learn a lot from the stamps.

Hello, my name is Anna. I’m from the UK. I have a happy family. We have different hobbies. My grandpa likes taking photos and my grandma likes running. In the morning they often go to the park together. Grandpa takes photos of the trees and flowers. Grandma goes running there. My father’s hobby is playing sports. He loves tennis best. He often plays tennis with his friends in the gym after work. My mother loves shopping. On Saturday morning she always goes to the market. I am good at drawing, so my hobby is drawing. I love drawing beautiful places and interesting people. I have a little brother. He is too young. What can he do? I think he can only play. But we all love playing outside at the weekend. When it’s sunny and warm at the weekend, we like to have a picnic in the park.

Jack and Jill are brothers. They were born on the same date, both on 1st January, 2010. But they have different hobbies.

For example, they usually go to different places and do different things. On Saturday morning, Jack usually plays with his father. His father is a science teacher in the Children’s palace. Jack goes to the Children’s Palace and has an art lesson there. He likes drawing cartoons. After the art lesson, he likes to go to the library and read books. Sometimes he can read more than 10 books a day!

Jill doesn’t like art or reading much. He likes sports. At weekends, he usually plays with his mother. His mother is a PE teacher. They sometimes go to the gym and sometimes go to the park. They usually play ball games, like football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. Jill can play basketball well, and he is tall and strong.

Dick is ten -year-old boy from the UK. Dick’s hobby is drawing. He likes drawing beautiful birds. He often goes to the zoo to see different (不同的) birds on Saturday and Sunday. And he draws them very well. In his room, there are many drawing on the wall. There are about one hundred and thirty-eight pictures in his room. Dick’s sister Lily likes playing music. His parents like reading books. It’s Saturday evening now. Dick is drawing, Lily is playing the piano (钢琴), and his parents are reading on the sofa. They are happy.

I am Liu Na. I have four good friends. But they have different hobbies. Sun Yu is a shy girl. She likes collecting stamps. She has about 300 stamps. Zhu Xiaojun is a strong boy. His bobby is playing football. He always plays football in PE lessons and after school. Chen Bing is a very clever girl. Her favourite subject is maths. She likes maths very much. Ma Miaomiao is a tall girl and she has long arms and long legs. She is good at playing tennis. I love all my friends and they love me, too.

All the students wait for their hobby shows in the class, except（除了）Bob, a lazy（懒惰的）boy in the class. No one thinks Bob has a hobby. But Bob takes many beautiful stamps and he doesn’t show them to his classmates. Ms White is very happy after watching them and says, “Bob, is collecting stamps your hobby?” “ Yes.” Bob says. Ms White asks, “Wow. Sounds great. I like this stamp. Can you tell me where it is from?” Bob can’t answer the question. He looks at her and answers, “I’m sorry I can’t. They are my brother’s. His hobby is collecting stamps.” “Bob, you should show your hobby,” White says. “I think I have a hobby. It is watching my brother collecting stamps.” Bob says happily.

Tom and Fred are students. They are both twelve years old. They are in the same class in their school.

On Friday afternoon they have a fight in class. Their teacher is very angry. He says to both of them, “Stay here after the lessons this afternoon, and write your names a hundred times,” After last lesson, all the other students go home, but Tom and Fred stay in the classroom with their teacher. They begin writing their names. The teacher looks at Fred and says, “Why are you crying, Fred?” “Because his name is Tommy, and my name is very very long. My name is Frederick Hollingsworth,” Fred says.
