Betty was very busy last weekend. On Saturday, She got up at 6:40 in the morning. She washed her face and had some bread and milk for breakfast. Then she did her homework and played the violin for an hour. In the afternoon, she washed the clothes and watered the flowers. On Sunday, she visited her grandma and looked after her with her parents. She cleaned the room and bought some food and fruits for her grandma. What a good girl!

On Christmas Eve (平安夜)—the night before Christmas Day, children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some gifts.

Mr. Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man. He comes on Christmas Eve. He comes into the house through the chimney(烟囱) and brings them a lot of gifts. Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. The children get up very early. They can’t wait to open the gifts in their stockings. Then they cheer (欢呼) and call “Merry Christmas!”

Last summer holiday, Mary went to Xi’an with her family. They went there by plane and stayed there for three days. On the first day, they went to Tang Paradise (大唐芙蓉园). The next day, they visited Shaanxi History Museum (陕西历史博物馆) and Huaqing Pool (华清池). The last day, they went to visit the Bell Tower. And they also went to Kaiyuan Shopping Mall (开元商城). Then they ate the delicious food. After that, they bought some gifts for their friends, too. They had a great time in Xi’an. They went back home by train.

Last summer holiday, Mary went to Xi’an with her parents. They went there by plane and stayed in Xi’an for three days. On the first day, they went to Shaanxi History Museum (陕西历史博物馆). The next day, they visited Great Wild Goose Pagoda (大雁塔). It was built in the Tang Dynasty (朝代). The last day, they ate some delicious food. Then they bought some gifts for her friends. They had a great time in Xi’an.

Thirty years ago, this school was small. There were about 300 students at that time. There was a library, but there weren’t so many books in it. Now, it is a big and beautiful school. There are about 2000 students. The library is very big and clean. Students can read many books in it. There is also a computer room now. There are many big trees beside the playground. After class, we often do sports and play games on it.

Tom went to Hainan with his family last week. They stayed there for three days.

On Monday morning, Tom went to a beautiful beach with his brother. It was sunny and hot. So they swam in the sea. It was interesting. In the afternoon, they went shopping. The things were expensive (贵的) and there were lots of people in the supermarket, so they didn’t really enjoy it.

On Tuesday, it was rainy. Tom went to a museum. On the way to the museum, he found a little boy. The boy was lost. Tom helped the boy find his father. Tom was very happy. But he didn’t have money (钱) for a taxi. So he had to walk to the museum. That made him very tired.

On Wednesday, the weather was very cool. So Tom and his cousin played beach volleyball. They played it all day. They were tired but happy.

Last summer holiday Su Nan went to Beijing with his parents. They went there by train and stayed there for three days. On the first day. They went to Tian'anmen Square. It was big and great. There were many people. The next day, they visited the museum and ate delicious Beijing Duck and bought some gifts. The last day they went to the Great Wall. They took many photos there. They were very happy.

Wu Dong has a good friend. His name is Peter. Peter is from the UK. Wu Dong and Peter are in the same (相同的) class. They go to school five days a week. They stay at home on Saturdays and Sundays. Peter likes China and Chinese food. He likes rice cakes very much. At school, they often play table tennis after class.

Wu Dong and Peter like making things. Now they are making a paper (纸) plane. They like flying paper planes on Sunday morning. Peter speaks English and a little Chinese. Wu Dong speaks Chinese and a little English. They teach each other.

Lily and Lucy are twins. They come from America. They came to China in 2004 because their parents came to China to work. Their father is an engineer, and their mother is a teacher. Lily and Lucy are 12 years old. They are in Grade 5, but they are in different classes. Lily is in Class 1 and Mary is in Class 3. They walk to school every day. They have many friends in China. The girls and their friends often play together. They like hiking with their friends in summer and making snowmen with them in winter. They enjoy their life in China.
