Jim is an English boy. He comes to China with his father and mother. He gets up early every day. He isn’t late for school. He studies hard. He can read English well. He often helps us with our English. After class, he likes playing football, swimming, running, jumping and riding. On Sunday, he often helps his mother clean the house or do the shopping. He hikes Chinese food very much.

One day, Mr and Mrs White went shopping by car. They stopped their car near a store. They bought a lot of things and they wanted to put the things in the car. But Mr White couldn’t open the door of the car. Then they asked a policeman to help them. The policeman was very friendly. Just then a man came up and shouted, “What are you doing with my car?” Mr and Mrs White had a look at the car’s number and they were frozen(呆住) there. It wasn’t their car.

Yesterday Lucy was very sad, because her cat was in the tree. She called it again and again, but it couldn’t get down. Peter was a good boy. He came there and asked Lucy, “What’s wrong with you?” Lucy said, “Mimi can’t get down from the tree. It’s afraid. Look, it’s there.” “Don’t worry, I can help you.” said Peter. Then he climbed up the tree. Mimi saw him and jumped down from the tree and ran away. Lucy was happy and ran after her cat. What about Peter? He was sad! Because he didn't know how to get down!

My father often takes me to the zoo, because I like animals very much. It is winter. The days are getting cold. Many animals stay in their houses. The elephants are big. They like to eat vegetables and bananas. The bears are by the elephants. They are brown. They like to sleep in winter. I go to say hello to them, but I can’t wake them up. There are many monkeys in the monkey hill. They feel cold, and they hide in the holes. A mother monkey takes a baby monkey in her arms and makes it warm. The pandas are lovely. They stay in the warm house and eat nice food. Many other animals in the zoo are happy in winter.

It's Saturday afternoon. Jim and Sam are going to do some shopping. They know there are too many people in the shop on Saturdays. Jim is English. He can speak a little Chinese. Jim and Sam are good friends. Sam can speak very good Chinese.

Jim wants to buy a yellow coat. He wants to buy a pen, too. But they are not easy to find. So they go to another shop.

Amy is a student in Class 2, Grade 5. She always goes to school by bus at half past seven in the morning. And after school, she goes home and does her homework. In her free time, she enjoys reading and singing. This Sunday, she won't stay at home. She is going to have a picnic with her friends. They will have a good time.

In China, people usually have breakfast at half past six. Lunch is usually at twelve. Dinner is usually at half past seven.

Mid-Autumn Day is very special in China. Families usually eat dinner together. The parents will cook lots of delicious dishes. And they will visit their relatives (亲戚，亲属) during the daytime. In the evening, they will enjoy watching the moon and eating mooncakes together.
