Lucy’s birthday is coming. She is going to be 8 years old. Dad and mum are going to take me to her house. She lives in Guangzhou. We are going to go there by train. Her birthday party will be on Saturday. We are leaving on Friday afternoon, and we are coming back on Sunday evening. I am going to give Lucy a picture. I am drawing it now. I am drawing some beautiful flowers. I am drawing a small dog, too. That’s because she likes dogs. The picture will be nice.

April Fool’s Day

Do you want to be a fool? Of course not. But sometimes you may be a fool. That’s on the first of April . Do you know April Fool’ s Day?

April 1st is called April Fool’s Day. We can also call it “All Fool’s Day”. It comes from France. It has a history of 800 years. On that day people can tell a lie (说谎), cheat (欺骗) others, cook up a story and spread (传播) it around. They can make fun of others. If you are cheated by others, you would be called fools. But in England, people can only do these in the morning, and they can’t make fun of high officials (高级官员).

I am going to have a busy weekend. On Saturday, I am going to do my homework in the morning. On Saturday afternoon, I am going to read a magazine (杂志). I am going to see a film on Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon, I will go shopping with my mother. I think that will be fun.

Aunt Jane’s birthday is coming. She is going to be forty-five. Dad, Mum and I are going to her house. We are aoing to wo there by train. We are going to go on Friday. The party will be on Saturday. I am going to give my dear Aunt Jane a card. I am making it now. I am drawing some nice flowers on the card. I am going to draw a small cat on it, because Aunt Jane likes cats. The card will be very nice. Dad says she will like it very much. We will go back home by plane on Sunday.
