Last summer I went to Qingdao. Qingdao is in the east of China. I went there with my mother and my grandma. The weather there was very hot. I swam in the sea every day. We ate lots of fish. We had a lovely time there.

Mr. Johns went into his teashop again one morning, and sat in one of his seats at the counter. Many other people also came in, but most of them did not stay long.  After fifteen minutes, a young man and a young woman came in. There were only two empty seats at the counter, one is on Mr. Johns' left, and the other is on his right. The young man sat on one, and the young woman on the other, but Mr. Johns immediately asked to change places with him so that the man and the woman could be together.

“Oh, that isn't necessary,” the young woman said, but Mr. Johns insisted. When the young man and the young woman were side by side, the young man said to her, “Well, this kind old man wanted us to sit together, so may I introduce myself? My name is Jack. What's yours?”

Last week I went to Qinghai with my friends. It’s in the north of China. We went to a zoo and saw elephants and tigers. They are very cute. I took many photos with pandas and monkeys. I had a lovely time there.

Miss Green came into the classroom with a piece of paper. There is a big black dot in the middle of the white paper. Miss Green put up this piece of paper and asked, "What can you see, children?" All the children looked at the black dot. "A black dot." they answered quickly. "But can't you see this piece of paper? The black dot is like the unlucky things in our life. If we only see the black dot, how can we be happy?" Miss Green said.

The classroom was very quiet. Miss Green took out another piece of paper. It was a piece of black paper with white dot in the middle. "What can you see, kids?" she asked the children, "A White dot." The children answered loudly.

Miss Green smiled, "My children, although we may be unhappy or worried in our life, it is just like the clouds in the sky. The clouds can leave quickly and the sun can come out soon. You can be a positive child with the sun in your eyes and feel happy all the time."

Last Monday was a school holiday. My friends and I had a great day at the Zhongshan Park. The park is very big. We can do many things there. I flew kites with John and Zhang Peng. Liu Yun, Amy and Chen Jie sang and danced. We were all very happy.

At 12 o’clock, we had lunch. We had some fruit, some juice and hamburgers. In the afternoon, we drew some pictures of the trees and flowers in the park. On Tuesday we put the pictures on the wall in our classroom. Do you like going to the park?
