My parents are teachers now. They teach in different schools. My father teaches Maths. My mother teaches English. Oh, my grandmother is learning English now. My mother teaches her.

Xiaoyong’s grandfather was a policeman before. His grandmother was a doctor. His father was an English teacher before. Now he is a policeman. His mother was a worker before. Now she is a nurse.

Fanfan’s grandfather was a teacher. Her grandmother was a writer. Her father was a fireman before. Now he is a bus driver. Her mother was a farmer. Now she is a flute player. She plays Chinese music.

The Winter Holiday

I like the winter holiday very much. Though it’s very short, I can enjoy the Spring Festival. I can watch cartoons every day. I needn’t go to school. But I still have to do my homework. Sometimes I can go to play with my friends outside. With the festival coming, I can play all the time. I can play computer games with my brother. I am good at playing computer games. So I often beat my brother. Then more and more relatives come to my home. We have dinner together. During the holiday, I’m happy every day. I love the winter holiday.

Today is Amy’s birthday. It’s June 2nd. She gets some presents and cards from her friends. Her grandparents give her a lovely doll. Her mother buys her a lot of delicious food. She climbs mountains with her father. She’s very happy today.

Hi, I'm Lily. I like winter best, because Spring Festival is in winter. Spring Festival is an interesting festival in China. It's our Chinese New Year. At Spring Festival, families get together. We always have a special meal. It's a big family dinner. We can eat a lot of food and drink a lot of drinks.We eat jiaozi, peanuts and sweets. Children wear beautiful clothes and play games. Parents give money to us. Spring Festival is fun. I like Spring Festival very much.

Lingling’s grandma was a dancer many years ago. She learnt English. She could speak English. She danced in lots of Chinese cities. But now she is old. She can’t dance. Lingling’s grandpa was a driver. He didn’t learn English. So he couldn’t speak English. But now he is learning English.

I’m Lily. Five years ago, I was a student. My mum was a teacher. She taught Art. I was in her class. I studied very hard. I was a good student.

Now, my mum is retired. I’m a teacher. I work in a primary school. I teach children Art, too. Because I like drawing and singing. My children work very hard at school. I think I’m a good teacher.
