On May Day, there was a very big car show in our city. Many people went to see it. My parents and I went there, too. My father wanted to buy a car, so he could drive me to school in the morning and pick me up after school. There were hundreds of different kinds of cars there. My mother liked “Buick”. My father liked “Bens”. I thought “Buick” cars were not as good as “Bens”, but Bens cars were too expensive. At last, they both agreed to my idea to buy a “Nissan”. It is good but not so expensive. We were very happy, because at weekends, we could often drive to visit my grandparents in the countryside.

An old tiger lived in the forest. He didn’t look for food himself. One day, He was very hungry. He said to the monkey,“Go and look for food for me!” “Sorry, I can’t. There is a tiger over there too. I’m afraid of him! ” “What?”the old tiger was angry. “Show me that tiger!” “Come with me, please,”said the monkey. They came to the river. “Look, he’s in the river! He says he’s the king in the forest!” The tiger was very angry, “I’ll eat him up!” With these words, the tiger jumped into the river.

A mother camel(骆驼) is looking for water and grass with her son. The son is asking his mother, “What do water and grass look like?”The mother is answering, “The water is blue as the sky, and grass is not blue, it’s green and nice.”

After a day and night , her son cries(叫,喊), “Look, mother, there’s water and grass there.” “You’re wrong , child. The water and grass are on the left, and the desert (沙漠) is on the right .” The mother camel’s left eye is blind (瞎的).

Now, the young camel finds an oasis (绿洲), but his mother thinks that’s not true. She says she knows more than her son and can’t be wrong. Her son is not happy. He doesn’t want to stay with his mother, so he goes away. He runs into the grass and eats his fill (饱).

It's Jimmy's birthday and he is 9 years old. He gets a lot of presents from his family and one of them is a big drum (鼓). His grandfather buys it for him.

Jimmy likes it very much. He plays with it every day and he often makes a terrible noise (令人讨厌的声音). His father works in the day and Jimmy is in bed when he gets home in the evening. So his father doesn't hear the noise.

But Mrs Black doesn't like the noise, so one morning she takes a knife and goes to Jimmy's room when he hits his drum. She says to him, “Hello! Jimmy. Do you know there is something very nice in your drum? Here is a knife. Please open the drum and let's find it.”

It was National Day last Monday. On that day, Liu Tao did lots of things. In the morning, he went to the zoo with his parents. There are many birds, tigers, monkeys and elephants. When Liu Tao threw bananas to the monkeys, they became very excited.

In the afternoon, they visited his grandparents. They were very happy to see each other. Liu Tao’s father watched TV. His grandpa showed some old photos to Liu Tao. They said much about the past time. Liu Tao’s mother and grandma cooked nice food for them.     In the evening, they had a big dinner.

Long long ago, there was a cat and a mouse. They were good friends. They lived together. One day, a cow came and said, "Hello, my friends. There is a football game in the forest tomorrow. Do you want to join us? If you win, you'll get much food.”

“Really?” The cat and the mouse were very excited. They wanted to take part in this match. So the cat said to the mouse, "my dear, I often sleep, sleep, sleep. You get up early every day. Please call me tomorrow.” The mouse said, “Sure.”

The next day, the mouse got up. He went to the football match. But he didn't call the cat. At last, the cat was very angry with the mouse.

On Christmas morning, children like to get up early to find the presents in the stockings(长筒袜) or under the Christmas trees. On Christmas Day, Mike got up at six twenty. He quickly put on the clothes and looked for his presents in the stocking. “Wow, what a lovely toy dog! I like it very much.” He said happily. Then he ran down to the ground floor to see what’s in the box. He shook(摇) the box. His sister, Nancy came to him, “Oh, Mike, you are taking my present.” “What? Open it and have a look!” Then they opened the box, a pretty dress in it. Mike looked around, and he saw another box for him under the tree. He was happy.

It was National Day last Sunday. And it was also Tom’s birthday. He had a party at home. His friends came and they all gave presents to him. They sang and danced. They were very happy. Tom’s parents gave him a model ship. After lunch, they went to a park. They played games there. They went home at 4 o'clock. After dinner, they went to the supermarket. Tom bought a VCD of Japanese cartoons. He was very happy.

Long, long ago there lived a king. He was very old and he had no children. So he wanted to select a new king in the country.

One day, the king asked his ministers to give all the children in the country some flower seeds and told them, "Who can plant the most beautiful flowers will be the king."

 A child named David planted the seeds and looked after them carefully. But day after day, no flowers came out from the basin. He was very disappointed.

It was time to show the most beautiful flowers. The children from all over the country came with their beautiful flowers.

The king walked in front of the children. When he saw the beautiful flowers, he was very unhappy.

Suddenly, he saw a child carrying an empty basin. He was very glad and asked the boy, "Why do you carry an empty basin?" The boy cried and told him the truth.

The king laughed, "You are an honest boy. You will be the future king." In fact, the seeds had been boiled.

Last holiday, I took a big trip with my aunt. We went to Australia by plane. It was in August. We left Beijing on August 3^rd. It was winter in Australia. But in Beijing, it was summer. I liked there, because I liked playing with snow. I went ice-skating there and took many pictures. I bought many presents for my friends too. I was excited, but I was very tired too. I relaxed and then went back to school.
