The Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals in China. We all like it. Before the festival, people usually clean the house, buy meat, vegetables, fruit and couplets (对联).On the eve of it, we make dumplings and watch CCTV New Year’s Gala on TV. At midnight, people set off fireworks or lanterns in the sky. On the first morning of the Spring Festival, people often get up early and give best wishes to others. Children often get lucky money from their grandparents during the Spring Festival. They are all very happy.

The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. It is after the Sping Festival. The special food for Lantern Festival is yuanxiao. People hang lanterns. There are many different shapes of lanterns. And there are also some riddles on the lanterns. People try hard to solve the riddles. At the Lantern Festival, people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and enjoy the dragon dances. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival to the Chinese people. It’s a traditional(传统的) festival in China. It’s in January or February. Before the Spring Festival, people often clean their houses, buy new clothes, paste couplets(贴春联) and hang lanterns. During the Spring Festival, people put on their new clothes and visit their relatives(亲戚) and friends. They get together and have a special family dinner. They eat delicious dumplings. After dinner, they watch TV together. The children are very happy. They can play the fireworks(烟花) and get the lucky money(压岁钱).

There are many festivals in China. The Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival and so on (等等). I like them very much. In the Spring Festival, we always have a big family dinner, we eat special dumplings. In the Lantern Festival, we can see lots of lanterns, and sometimes there are beautiful fireworks (焰火).The Dragon Boat Festival is also my favourite. Because I can see the Dragon Boat race. Now, can you guess why I like the Mid-Autumn Festival? Because I can eat moon cakes, They are very delicious.

Hello, my name is Lily. My favorite festival is Chinese Spring Festival. Every Spring Festival, I always have a big dinner with my family. I often go out to visit relatives and talk with them. It’s a lot of fun. However (然而), I didn’t have a good time this Spring Festival because of COVID-19 (新冠肺炎). I had to (不得不) stay at home. I couldn’t (不能) play outside. And I couldn’t visit relatives, either (也). My mother and father had to put on a mask (口罩) if they went to the supermarket. When I was bored, I could only call my friends. Sometimes I cooked some food with my mother. Sometimes I got some exercise at home with my father. Now I am so happy because I can go back to school to study.

Every year, there is a Spring Festival in China. It is the most important festival in China. Usually it is in January or February. So before it comes, everyone has to prepare things. They buy meat, fruits and many other things. Parents buy new clothes for their children. Children also buy presents for their parents. People also make a special kind of food—dumplings. It means “come together”. At the Spring Festival Eve（除夕）, all the family members come back home. They sing and dance, play cards and make the big family dinner. When (当…的时候) they enjoy the dinner, they give each other the best wishes for the coming year. They all have a good time.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals（最重要的节日之一）in China. It is usually in September or October. On this day, people usually have a happy get-together（团聚在一起）with their family. They eat moon cakes and a lot of other（其他）delicious food. The moon cakes look like the round moon. It means（意味着）get-together at night, people usually watch the bright moon with their family and friends. And the children usually hang the colourful and beautiful lanterns. All the children like them very much. They all have fun.

   The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar (日历). People always eat rice dumplings and see dragon boat races.

The dragon boat race is very popular in the southern places. Rice dumplings are made of glutinous rice (糯米), meat and so on. You can eat different kinds of rice dumplings. They are very delicious. The Dragon Boat Festival is very interesting.

We are Chinese students and we are happy to have a festival, Teachers’ Day. It is about thirty-five years old now. It is for us students and all the other people to show love and respect (尊敬) for our teachers.

Teachers’ Day is on September 10th every year. On this day, teachers usually put on their best clothes and have a get-together (聚会). We students usually send greeting cards and some beautiful flowers to teachers. When they get the cards and flowers, they are very happy. Now teachers take great pains (辛苦) to teach us. We hope Teachers’ Day can give them a good feeling and good luck.
