Hello, everyone. Do you know Spring Festival? I like it very much. On Spring Festival, I often wear new clothes and have a big dinner with my family. In the evening, we watch TV and making dumplings. Most Chinese people like eating dumplings. I like eating them, too. At night we go outside to look at the lanterns and play with fireworks（烟火）.It is very wonderful.

When beautiful autumn comes, it’s time for the Chinese Chongyang Festival or Double Ninth Festival. This is a day for Chinese to show care and love the old people. We climb the mountains, eat rice cakes, drink the chrysanthemum (菊花) drinks, and wear the zhuyu plant. Today, it’s a good time to enjoy the beautiful autumn with your friends and family.

The Spring Festival is Chinese New Year. There is a name for every Chinese year. We may call it the Year of the Horse, the Year of the Monkey or the Year of the Pig… Before New Year's Day, people go shopping and clean their houses. On New Year's Eve, there is a big family dinner. They usually eat dumplings. After dinner, all the families stay up to welcome the New Year. On the first day of the New Year, people put on their new clothes and visit their friends. They say “Happy New Year!” to each other.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It used to be as important as the Spring Festival. It is on the 15th of August in the lunar calendar (农历). A few days before the festival, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house. On this day, people usually get together with their families and have a nice meal.After that, people always eat delicious moon cakes, and watch the moon. The moon is always very round on that day, and makes people think of their relatives and friends. It is a day of pleasure and happiness. Hope you have a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival!

People in the world welcome the New Year in different ways.

In the US, many people go out at night and have a big party together. They wait for the New Year’s bell to ring twelve times (次). Then they sing songs and say “Happy New Year” to each other.

In Japan, people eat noodles for dinner. On New Year’s Day, people get up early to see the first sunrise (日出) of the year. Children get money (钱) from their parents as gifts.

Hello! My name is Maggie. I live in a nice old town in the US. My favourite festival is Easter Day. Every spring I spend Easter at my grandma’s house with my cousins. At Easter time there are always a lot of flowers. On Sunday morning, we like picking some flowers and putting them on our hats. Then we always make nests (巢) in the grass for hiding (藏) the eggs. In the afternoon, the house is always clean and nice. There are some eggs on the table in the kitchen. My mum and aunt always paint the eggs. After they finish painting, we play the game—Easter Egg Hunt (寻找). In the evening, we always watch TV and play cards together.

Chinese people have a good time during the Chinese New Year. It usually comes in January or February. Each year gets a name according to the lunar calendar(阴历). It may be called the Year of the Dog or the Year of the Monkey instead of(代替) 2018 and 2028.

Usually there are dragon dances in the street. The dragon is a legendary (传说的) animal about 20 feet long. It is made of paper and cloth. Men hide under the dragon and make a lot of noise by shouting and laughing. There are always lots of fireworks. After the dragon dances, the children sing and dance in the street. The children are happy because they can get some red packets (红包). There is some money in them.

Children will get some money from their parents or other people. So people especially(特别) children like Spring Festival very much.
