China is very big and beautiful. There are lots of places to go in China. Kunming is a beautiful city in Yunnan. It’s in the south of China. It’s got more than eight million people. The weather in Kunming is very nice. It’s not very hot in summer. Many people like to live in it. There is beautiful lake in Kunming. It’s the Dianchi Lake. We can also eat lots of delicious food there. Lijiang is another beautiful city in Yunnan. There is a famous mountain in Lijiang. It’s the Yulong Snow Mountain. It’s about seventy-five kilometres long. Many people go there in winter to see the snow.

Simon and Daming are good friends. They are Chinese.  But they are working in America. Sometimes they miss their family. So they always go to the Chinatown. There are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants there. They go shopping there and eat delicious food there. You know, Simon and Daming really miss China and they both like Chinese food.

Chinese school is different from English school. In China, school starts at 8 o'clock and finishes at 4 o'clock. In the UK, school starts at 9 o'clock and finishes at half past three. In China, students sit in lines and they do morning exercises every day. In the UK, students often sit around tables and they sing songs together every morning. But both students in China and in the UK can have fun at break time. And they do homework every day.

A train stops at a station (车站). A young man wants to come out, but it is raining. A boy is standing under a big umbrella. The young man says to the boy, “Can you go and get us two hamburgers, one for you and one for me? Here are two dollars.” “Great!” say the boy and he goes to buy hamburgers. After some time, the boy is back. He is eating a hamburger.“Where is my hamburger?” asks the young man. “Oh, there is only one hamburger left. So I’m eating mine. Here is your dollar.”

The summer holiday is coming. The students in Class One are talking about their holiday. Peter is going to go back to England to see his parents. Liu Xing is going to go to Tibet（西藏） to visit his aunt. Cindy is going to learn to swim during the summer holiday. Lucy and Lily are twins（双胞胎）. They are going to Beijing with their parents. There are many famous places in Beijing, such as the Summer Palace and Beihai Park. Everyone has a good plan.

How are you? Do you want to visit my hometown in July? There are lots of mountains near my village. My village is very beautiful in spring. And the mountains become green then. There is a clean river. And there are many trees and flowers by the river. You can see some ducks and many fish swimming in the clean river. It’s not hot there in summer. It’s cool. There are four Chinatowns in New York. They have got at least (至少) forty-five streets. There are many Chinese people in New York. And there are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants in Chinatown. You can see all kinds of Chinese things there. Of course, you can speak Chinese when you are in Chinatown. At night, you can watch TV programmes in Chinese.

During the Spring Festival, they hang(挂) Chinese lanterns(灯笼). You can see Chinese dragon or lion dances. Chinese people in New York celebrate(庆祝) the Spring Festival as we do in China.

Hong Kong is in the south of China. It’s a very nice place. It’s hot in summer. But it’s a wonderful time for swimming. There is a beautiful beach (沙滩) at Repulse Bay (浅水湾). You can take a bus to get there. There are lots of people on the beach at the weekend. But you can go there on weekdays, and it won’t be too crowded (拥挤的). There are lots of shops and tall buildings there. Many visitors go there to buy things. There’s a Disneyland in Hong Kong. Many people go there to have fun. Hong Kong is a nice place.
