This is our School library. It is not very big. But it is nice. It opens from Monday to Friday. It closes at the weekend. There are many books in the library. We can borrow books there. We can read them in the library too. But we must obey (遵守) the library rules.

My best friend is Tom. He is a ten years old boy. He was born(出生) in London, but now he lives in China. Tom has got two big eyes. He can speak Chinese and English. He likes playing football, watching TV and listening to music, but he doesn’t like swimming. Why? Because he is afraid (害怕)of water. What an interesting boy!

Our school has some rules. We must (必须) wear school uniforms (校服) in the school every day. We must wear sneakers (运动鞋) in PE classes. The boys can’t have long hair. We should not be late for school. We should not talk in the school library. If we have any questions to ask in class, we should put up our hands first. We should speak loudly when we answer the teachers’ questions. We can’t fight against others. We should always obey (服从) the rules.

Lily is a new student in this school. Her friend tells her the school rules.

You can run on the playground. Don’t run in the classroom. You can read books in the library. Don’t talk in the library. You should listen to the teachers in class. Don’t sleep in class. You can answer the teachers’ questions. Don’t talk to each other. School starts at eight o'clock in the morning and finishes at four o'clock in the afternoon. Don’t be late for school. You can have lunch at school. Don’t eat in class.

Lily knows the rules now. And she will be a good student.

Traffic lights are the same in every country. There are always three lights: red, yellow and green. Red means "stop" . Yellow means "wait" and green means "go" . In China, drivers drive on the right side of the road. In the US, drivers drive on the right side too. In England and Australia, however, drivers drive on the left side of the road. If you go by car, by bike or on foot, you must know the traffic rules.

Many students in the US always take the school bus to school every day. And there are many rules.

◆Arrive(到达) at the bus station early.

◆Wait for the bus at the bus station.

◆Don't play around the bus station.

◆Don't run here and there at the bus station.

◆Don't get off the bus if it doesn't stop.

These rules are good for students. Remember them and don't break(破坏) them. Then you can keep yourself safe.

There is a park near my home. People like to go to this park after work. Some of them go in the park every day. Look! That is Mr. King. He is sitting on a chair and watching the children. Some children are playing a game. Some boys are playing football. Lucy and Lily are standing under a big tree. They are talking about their favorite movies. There is a small river in the park. We can see some boats on the water. Some children are sitting in the boats with their parents. Listen! A girl is singing. This is really a nice park. I come here after school every day.
