Hello, I'm Amy. I have got a postcard. It's a picture of the Huangshan Mountain (黄山). It is very beautiful. And it's very famous in China. It is in the south of Anhui. It's more than 1,860 metres high. Every year thousands of Chinese and foreigners (外国人) visit it. It's really a nice place to visit. I will visit the Huangshan Mountain one day.

Hello! My name is Betty. Here is a picture of my family. The woman on the left is my mother. She is very good at English and Chinese. She also enjoys singing and dancing. She teaches English in a school. She loves her students very much. And her students love her English class very much.

The man on the right is my father. You see, he is very tall and fat. He has very short hair and small eyes. He is good at playing football. He doesn't like cooking. He is interested in sailing. Because he is a good sailor（海员）.

From the postcards, I know there are lots of beautiful places (地方) in China. Look! This is the Changjiang River. It’s the longest river in China. It’s more than 6, 000 kilometres long. This is the West Lake. It’s in Hangzhou. And this is the Huangshan Mountain. It’s in Anhui and it’s very famous. The last one is a picture of the Great Wall. It’s more than twenty thousand kilometres long. I like this one best. China is so beautiful that I want to visit it some day.

There is a very famous wall in China. It’s more than 20000 kilometres long. It’s very old and very strong. It’s more than 2000 years old. It’s in the north of China. Many people from different countries come to visit it every year. What a wonderful building! I’m very proud of it.

Jim is an English boy. He comes to China with his father and mother. They come here to work. Jim comes here to study. He is in No. 5 Middle School. He gets up early every day. He isn’t late for school. He studies hard. He can read English well. He often helps us with our English, and we often help him with his Chinese. After class he likes playing football, swimming, running, jumping and riding. He makes many friends here. We are glad to stay with him. On Sunday he often helps his mother clean the house, mend something or do the shopping. He likes Chinese food very much. He likes living here. He likes Chinese students very much. We all like him, too.

Simon is a good boy. Today is Sunday and it is fine, so Simon's father takes him to visit the Great Wall. The Great Wall is far away from his home. So they are going there by bus. The Great Wall is about six thousand seven hundred kilometres. It's very long and great. Simon is very happy and his father is happy, too.

China is a big country. There are lots of beautiful cities in China. Beijing is a very old city. It's the capital of China. There are many beautiful old buildings in Beijing, such as the Palace Museum and the Summer Palace. Shanghai is an exciting city. It's in the east of China.   Hong Kong is in the south of China. Many tourists(游客)like to visit Hong Kong for shopping.

   China is a big country. There are lots of things to see. From east to west，you can see many long rivers and high mountains. There are also many big lakes. In winter it is warm in the south. But it is cold in the north. You can play with snow in the north and you can go swimming in the south. Beijing is the capital (首都) of China. You can visit the Great Wall there. It's about twenty thousand kilometres long. People here are very friendly (友好的). Do you want to visit China?

Mike is traveling around the country in his car. One evening he is driving along a road and looking for a small hotel. Then he sees an old man at the side of the road. He stops his car and says to the old man, "I want to go to the Sun Hotel. Do you know it?"

"Yes," the old man says. "I will show you the way. "He gets into Mike's car, and they drive off. They drive for about twelve miles. When they come to a small house, the old man says, "Stop here. "Mike stops and looks at the house. "But this isn't a hotel. "he says to the old man. "No," the old man answers. "This is my house. And now I'll show you the way to the Sun Hotel. Turn around and go back nine miles. Then you will see the hotel on the left."

It is a fine Sunday morning. Ann and her mother are on a big bus. There are many people on the bus. Some of them are from America, and some of them are from England and Japan. They are going to visit the Great Wall. There are two Chinese on the bus. One is a woman. She is driving the bus. The other is a young man. He speaks English very well. He is talking about the Great Wall now. All the people on the bus are listening to him. They will visit the Great Wall.
