I’m Daming. I live in Beijing with my parents. My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. It is also called the Chinese New Year. At the Spring Festival, we say, “Happy New Year!” We wear new clothes and I can get lots of lucky money. We have a big family dinner. We have lots of delicious food, such as chicken, fish, dumplings and so on. Besides, I like sweets and peanuts very much. After dinner, we watch Spring Festival Gala (《春节联欢晚会》) together. We have a good time.

Hello, I’m Sam. I’m from America. In America, we have a Christmas. It’s different(不同的) from the Spring Festival. At Christmas, we eat peanuts and sweets. But we don’t eat dumplings. We have a Christmas tree. We give presents to our family and friends. We say “Merry Christmas!” .

My favourite festival is the Mid­autumn Festival (中秋节). We usually (通常) watch the moon (月亮) and eat moon cakes (月饼).The moon cake is very nice. We have a big dinner that day. I often have a good time at that festival.

Today is the Spring Festival. It’s Lingling’s birthday too. She has got a lot of presents from her friends and family. Lily gives her a red hat. Tom gives her a book about art. Lingling’s father buys a new schoolbag for her. Her mother is making noodles for her. Her brother gives her a football. What’s Lily doing now? She is making dumplings with her grandma. They are going to have a big family dinner together.

It's Christmas today. Sam and Daming have a Christmas tree. Lingling and Amy have some sweets and peanuts. Ms Smart gives a big present to Tom. They sing songs at 10: 30. They have lunch at 12:00. They are all at home.

Chinese New Year is in spring. It’s the Spring Festival. We eat dumplings. We watch TV. And we have fireworks(烟花) . We say “Happy New Year!”

In England, Christmas is in winter. They have Christmas trees and Christmas presents. They have a big dinner and sing songs. They say “Merry Christmas!”

My name is Lingling. I am ten years old. The Spring Festival is coming. We like it very much. My father likes noodles. My brother likes dumplings. My mother can make cakes. I like having them. We are going to eat some fruit and drink some juice, too. We have new clothes. We say, “Happy New Year!”
