Everyone is good at something, but some people are truly talented. It’s always interesting to watch other people show their talents. Talent shows are getting more and more popular. First, there were shows like American Idol and America’s Got Talent. Now, there are similar shows around the world, such as China’s Got Talent.

All these shows have one thing in common: They try to look for the best singers, the most talented dancers, the most exciting magicians, the funniest actors and so on. All kinds of people join these shows. But who can play the piano the best or sing the most beautifully? That’s up to you to decide. When people watch the show, they usually play a role in deciding the winner. And the winner always gets a very good prize.

However, not everybody enjoys watching the shows. Some think that the lives of the performers are made up. For example, some people say they are poor farmers, but in fact they are just actors. However, if you don’t take these shows too seriously, they are fun to watch. And one great thing about them is that they give people a way to make their dreams come true.

There is a very important festival in China. For Chinese people, it’s the new beginning of a year. We have a seven-day holiday. Red is everywhere in the holiday. And you can see the dragon dance and lion dance on the street, too.

We will do lots of great things. My parents are going to clean the house before the festival. They will buy new clothes and candies for me, too. My family will get together and have a big dinner. My mum will make dumplings, my dad will give us lucky money in the red pocket. My grandparents will tell a story about this festival. We are not going to sleep till the next day. Because it will bring good wishes(祝福). We are going to wear our new clothes and visit our friends. What a great festival!

Tomorrow is Sunday. Amy has no classes. She is going to visit a science museum tomorrow morning. She’s going there by subway. She’s going to have lunch in McDonald’s. Tomorrow afternoon she is going to play football with her friends. At about 3:30, she is going home to do homework. Then she is going to clean her bedroom. She’s going to cook the meals for her father and mother in the evening.

Mr. Green is a teacher. He teaches English in a school. He has a nice family.

In the morning, he goes to the school with his children. They are in the same school. Mrs. Green is often at home. But she sees her friends in the afternoon. The children come home from school at five. And Mr. Green comes home from work at six.

After dinner, the children do their homework. Mr. Green reads his English books. Sometimes Mr. and Mrs. Green watch TV.
