Ann is seven years old. She is a student of Grade One. She usually goes to school by car with her mother. Today is Saturday. Ann is doing her homework at home. She is worried about her maths homework, because she can’t get the answer. Later, she has a good idea. Then she goes to a shop with her maths homework. “I want five kilos of pears, two kilos of oranges and three kilos of apples,” she says to the shop assistant. “It’s ten kilos. Can you carry it?” asks the shop assistant. Ann writes the answer on the homework quickly and says, “Thank you.” Then she runs home.

My name is Candy. I am from the USA. There is a big supermarket next to my home. My grandparents and I usually go there to buy some food and drinks. I often go to school early. I have many Chinese friends at school. They are very friendly. I like going to the fruit shop very much. But it’s very far, so I must go there by subway. This afternoon, I’m going to buy some bananas. My friend Jenny is going to buy some apples.

Zhao Hua lives in Guangzhou. His mother is an English teacher. She goes to work by bus every day. Zhao Hua's father is an engineer（工程师）. He works in a toy company. He likes designing（设计）toys. He goes to work by car. Zhao Li is Zhao Hua's twin sister. Zhao Li likes playing the piano and watching cartoons. She goes to school on foot. Zhao Hua likes swimming and riding a bike. He goes to school by bike. On the weekend, Zhao Li plays the piano and watches TV. Zhao Hua swims or rides a bike. They are happy.

Hello! I’m Jane. I have a happy family. They are my father, my mother, my grandparents, my brother and me. My father is a teacher. He likes reading books. He works very hard. He often goes to work on foot. My mother is a businesswoman. She likes watching TV news. She goes to work by car. She is tall and strong. My grandparents are old. They are retired (退休了). They like dancing and singing. My brother is a student. He is in Grade Four. He likes swimming and listening to English. I’m a student, too. I am in Grade Six. I like science and art. I love my family.

Tom has some good friends. The river is their home. In hot days, they come out from the river, they like playing in the sky. They can fly higher and higher (越飞越高). They are colder and colder (越来越冷). Then they get together and become black clouds. When they become cold enough (足够冷). They want to go home. At last, they fall down into the river. What are Tom and his friends? They are water drops (水滴).

Peter lives in the USA. He’s a policeman. Every morning he goes to work by subway. He reads newspapers on the subway. He goes home at 5:30. Then he watches TV in the evening. On weekends, he likes listening to music very much. Sometimes he goes swimming and plays football with his friends.

It is Sunday today. My parents, my brother Tom and I are all at home. My father is washing his car. He is going to Beijing tomorrow. He is going there by car. My mother is putting the flowers under the sun. Then she is going to buy some flowers seeds. Tom is drawing a picture. There are many clouds in his picture. I am very busy. I’m doing my homework.

On October 16th, Shenzhou-13 carried three taikonauts (中国宇航员) into space. They are Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfiu. They will live and work in space for six months.

The life in space station (太空站) is quite different from the earth. The taikonauts must keep the food in a special way in the space. But there is a special space kitchen, they can eat fresh apples. In space, water is precious (珍贵的), so the taikonaus have to save water. They can’t take a hot bath as we do on the earth, but they can wash face and hair with special shampoo. Sleeping in space is much interesting. The taikonauts should sleep in a seeping bag. They can sleep anywhere if they like.

There is WiFi in the space station. Taikonauts can talk with people on the earth. They also can make video calls with their families. On December 9th, the taikonauts gave a “Tiangong class” for the students on the earth. Students watched and learned a lot.

Spring Festival is coming, and three taikonauts will enjoy the festival in space for the first time. What will they do? We can see them on TV and find out.
