A lot of people in America are wearing the same clothes, and many of them have long hair, so sometimes you don't know who are men and who are women.

One day, an old man goes for a walk in a park, and when he is tired, he sits down on a chair beside a pool. He sees a young person standing on the other side of the pool. "My dear!" the old man says to the person next to him, "Do you see that person in a red sweater and with long hair? Is it a boy or a girl?" "A boy," says his neighbour, "he is my son." "Oh!" says the old man, "I'm sorry, I don't know you are his mother." "I'm not," says the other person, "I'm his father."

Today is Tree- Planting Day. I go to the park with my parents. At about ten o'clock we start to plant trees. We needn't to dig holes because the people in the park dug them before. We just put the young trees into the holes. My father fills the holes with me. My mother carries water for the young trees. We are so tired when we finish the work. All of us hope the trees will grow well. I hope I can plant trees next year.

Jiaozi is the Chinese name of dumplings. We have all kinds of dumplings with meat or vegetables in it. Jiaozi is very delicious and it is very popular (受人喜爱的) in China, especially (尤其) during Spring Festival. People usually eat jiaozi on the eve of Spring Festival. Why do people like eating jiaozi? Because Spring Festival is Chinese New Year. People eat round jiaozi to show their wishes for good luck. The history of jiaozi is about 2, 000 years. Eating jiaozi is a very happy thing. When all the families make jiaozi together, you'll feel very happy.

There are twelve months in a year. I like February best. February is the second month of the year. In China, Spring Festival is usually in January and February. It’s my favourite festival. Now people call it Chinese New Year. For Chinese New Year, all people in China have a holiday. They go back home to celebrate the festival with their families. On the eve of the festival, people usually have dumplings. People in the south of China have rice cakes. They all enjoy the festival at home.

Fred likes fish very much. One day, he buys(买)some fish and takes it home. His son sees the fish and says to himself, “Very good! I can ask my friends to have it for lunch.”

The next day （第二天）, Fred comes home in the evening. The fish isn’t there. His son says, “Oh, dad, your cat eats the fish.” Fred gets angry (生气). He takes the cat and his son to the shop and weighs (称) the cat. Then he says, “Little boy, my fish weighs one kilo, and the cat weighs one kilo too. My fish is here, then where is my cat?”

The Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year's Day. It usually comes in February. Sometimes it comes in January. Everyone in China likes it very much.

When it comes, Zhou Hua helps her mother clean their house, put up（张贴）the new pictures and do some other housework. On that day, everybody in China often eats dumplings（饺子）and New Year's cake. They can also enjoy some other delicious food. Zhou Hua likes New Year's cake very much. But her brother, Zhou Kun likes dumplings better. They eat New Year's cake and dumplings in their house. How happy they are!

Spring Festival is the biggest festival for Chinese. People usually clean their houses, buy new clothes, shoes and a lot of food before Spring Festival. On the eve of the festival, people cook delicious food and all the family members get together. People eat dumplings at midnight for good luck. I like Spring Festival, because it means new clothes, shoes, many presents and a winter holiday. I play games, watch TV, visit relatives and friends, and eat delicious food. It's a holiday full of love.

In China, there are many children. Some children can go to school, but some can't. They have no books. They have no pencils. They have no money. They are very poor(贫穷). They are at home or at work. They want to go to school very much. I think we can help them through Project Hope (希望工程). We can give them pencils, books, and money. We can give the poor children our love. Let's go to school together. Don't forget that we are in one family—China.
