Hi, I’m Tom. Today is Sunday. It’s sunny today. I go to my grandfather’s big farm with my father and mother. I can wear my green shirt and blue jeans. On the farm, I can see twenty cows, eighteen goats(山羊) and two horses. I can ride the horses and milk the cows. And I can feed the hens, too. It’s twelve o’clock. It’s time to go to the canteen for lunch. We are happy today.

The pupils of Class One have a picnic in People Park. The grass is green. The trees are green, too. The flowers are very beautiful. Look! Ben has got a pair of sunglasses. He is in the fountain. He can play with the water. Alice's got a packet of crisps and an apple. She is near the pond. She can feed the fish. Miss Wang's got a camera. She is under a big tree. She can take a picture. Helen's got a Coke. She is on a swing. She can play on the swing.

My uncle has a big farm. On his farm, there are fifteen sheep, twenty hens, nineteen ducks and one dog. The sheep are white. They like grass. They often eat grass on the grass. The hens are very fat. They like corn. They give my uncle twenty eggs every day. The ducks like to swim in the pond. They give my uncle sixteen eggs every day. The dog likes bones （骨头）.   His teeth are sharp. My uncle is very busy every day. He feeds the animals every day. But he’s happy.

Look at the ducks. They are lovely. You can't throw the stones to them. They are afraid.

Little girl, don't play with the water. We can not play in the pond. It's dangerous, too.

I have two new classmates. The girl’s name is Alice and the boy’s name is Eddie. Alice is tall and thin. She can swim well. She’s strong. Eddie is short, but he can run very fast. He can draw Alice’s grandpa’s farm well.

Look! This is a picture of Alice’s grandpa’s farm. It’s big. There are many animals and plants on the farm. There are some signs too. The signs tell us that we can’t pick the flowers, climb the trees or chase animals. There is a pond on the farm too. There are different kinds of fishes in the pond. Near the pond, there’s also a sign. It says you can’t throw stones in the pond. The farm is nice. We should keep it clean. So we must put the rubbish in the bin.

It’s Sunday morning. I’m going to have a picnic in the park. I’d like to lie on the grass and look up at the white clouds. I’d like to swing. But it’s raining. I’m sad. I start to cry. Mother says, ‘Wait! We still have the picnic!’ ‘But how? It won’t be fun. It’s wet!’ ‘Dear Tommy, please read in the study. And I’m going to make a picnic in our home.’ Mother comes to the kitchen and starts doing things.

Now mother is ready. I come into the sitting room and see a blanket (毯子) on the floor. The picnic basket is full of chips, fruit and sandwiches. Mother is wearing her straw hat (草帽) and sunglasses. ‘Come on, my boy! It’s picnic time!’ Aha! It’s the best rainy-day picnic!

Sophie is in a park in America now. It’s sunny and warm. There are a lot of children in the park. She likes playing games with them. Now she is having a rest on the lawn. Kitty is catching a butterfly. Terry is lying (躺) beside her in the sun. The Whites are having a picnic over there. Their son, Johnny, is playing football with some boys on the grass.

She enjoys (享受) her holiday very much.

I’m on the beach in Australia now. The sun shines and shines. There are a lot of people on the beach. We are having a Christmas party. Now I’m writing the letter under an umbrella. Some people are playing beach ball on the sand. Some are swimming in the sea. Some are lying (躺) in the sand to enjoy (享受) the sunshine.

I enjoy my holiday very much.

We call the Chinese New Year’s Day ‘the Spring Festival’. It usually comes in January or February. It’s in winter, so it’s cold. Sometimes it’s snowy.

Before the Chinese New Year’s Day, people are busy shopping and cleaning their houses. On New Year’s Eve (除夕夜), there is a big family dinner. After dinner, all the family stay up late (不睡觉) to welcome the New Year. On the first day of the New Year, people put on their new clothes and go to visit their friends. They say ‘Happy New Year’ and some other greetings (问候) to each other. People usually have a very good time during the festival.

There are four seasons ill a year. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. There are twelve months in a year, too. Three months make a season.

Spring comes in March, April and May. It is warm and rainy. Plants grow and grow in spring. There are many beautiful flowers in the park. The leaves are green.

Summer comes in June, July and August. It is hot and sunny. I can go to the beach. Many people like swimming in the sea.

Autumn comes in September, October and November. It is cold and windy. The leaves are red, brown and yellow. They fall and fall.

Winter comes in December, January and February. It is very cold and windy. I can hear the wind. It blows and blows.
