Get to Know about Wuhan

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province. It is a wonderful city in the middle of China. Wuhan has a history of 3,500 years. There are many interesting places with a long history. The East Lake is the largest natural lake in Chinese cities. People in Wuhan are proud of the Yellow Crane Tower. The Yellow Crane Tower is one of the three most famous towers on the south bank of the Yangtze River. Wuhan is also called the "city on river". Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is the first bridge built over the Yangze River. Jianghan Road is the longest business walk street in China. You can try hot﹣and﹣dry noodles. It is the most popular food in Wuhan.

In January 2020, the new virus (病毒) that happened in Wuhan and then spread to other cities in China. Chinese   people have all stood up as one to fight the virus. Medical workers from all over the country got together in Wuhan to save sick people. Now the virus is defeated by Wuhan people. Wuhan returns to normal and peace. We believe Wuhan will be better and better.

Xiamen is in the south of China. It’s famous for its beautiful seaside(海滩). You can eat seafood there. Gulangyu Island(岛) is in the southwest of Xiamen. It’s a small but beautiful island. You can go there by ship. On the island, you can visit the Piano Museum and go for a walk at night. There are also many beautiful and special houses on the island.

David is from Australia. But he is in China now. He lives in Beijing. He is eight years old. He is a good student. He has lots of hobbies. He likes collecting stamps. He often shows them to his classmates. David also likes playing chess, watching cartoons and playing football. He often watches cartoons with his sister and mom. Sometimes he plays chess with his father. David likes football very much. After school, he usually plays football with his classmates on the playground.

Sam lives in New York. His father has a shop there and his mother is a driver. He is seven years old now and begins to go to school this autumn. The school is a little far from their shop. So his mother drives a car to take him to school every day. And Sam is never late for class. His teachers like him very much.

It’s Monday today. Miss Green is teaching them to count (数数) from one to ten. Sam is studying hard. Soon he can count them. Miss Green is happy and asks, “How many people are there in your family, Sam?”

Sam stands up and says, “Two, Miss Green.”

“Who are they?”

“My father and mother.”

“Oh?” Miss Green is surprised. She says, “There are three people in your family.”

“But Miss Green, I’m not at home now, I’m at school, you know!”

One day a crow (乌鸦) finds a piece of meat. She picks it up in her mouth and flies to a big tree. When she is just going to eat the meat, a fox sees her. The fox comes to the tree and stands under the tree. He looks at the meat and wants to eat it very much.

He says to the crow, “How pretty you are! You are the prettiest bird in the world. All the animals like you. ”The crow is very pleased (高兴的) by these words. Then the fox speaks again, “I can see your beautiful face, but I can’t hear your beautiful voice. Can you sing a song for me?”

This makes the crow very happy. She opens her mouth and sings a song. When she opens her mouth, she drops (落下) the meat. The fox picks up the meat and goes away.

I have a cousin. Her name is Linda. She is tall and slim. She is friendly. She likes animals very much. Her favourite animals are whales. They are the biggest mammals in the world. They live in the water. They can swim well, but they aren’t fish. Her favourite famous person is Bai Juyi. He is a famous poet. Linda wants to be a poet, too. She also likes singing and she can sing very well.
