Mid-Autumn Day is very important in China. It’s usually in September. Sometimes it’s in October. On that day, families get together to celebrate(庆祝) it. At night, we sit outside, enjoy the bright round moon. At the same time, we share(分享) mooncakes and fruit. The old people tell stories about Chang’e to the children. We all have a good time!

In many parts of China, spring is usually very short(短的). It usually comes in March and ends May. Summer is often very hot. It lasts(持续) form June to August. The hottest(最热的) month is July. Fall begins in September and ends in November. The weather is cool. Winter lasts form December to February of next year, and it is very cold. You need to wear lots of(很多) warm clothes. The best time to go to China is spring and fall. Because summer is often too hot, and winter is too cold.

In Western countries(西方国家), Mother’s Day is very important. It’s on the second Sunday in May in the USA, and it is on the second Tuesday in May in Germany(德国). In America, people call it Mother’s Day. But in England, people call it Mother’s Sunday. Why? Because it is on Sunday.

If you want to make your mother happy, the best way is to make a wonderful breakfast for her. That means, on Mother’s Day, your mother can stay longer in bed and doesn’t need to get up early to make breakfast for you and your father.

On that day, you need to let your mother have a rest(休息) and relax(放松). You can make a card for her, write love letters to her or send her gifts. I think your mother will be happy all day.

The Winter Holiday

I like the winter holiday very much. Though it’s very short, I can enjoy the Spring Festival. I can watch cartoons every day. I needn’t go to school. But I still have to do my homework. Sometimes I can go to play with my friends outside. With the festival coming, I can play all the time. I can play computer games with my brother. I am good at playing computer games. So I often beat my brother. Then more and more relatives come to my home. We have dinner together. During the holiday, I’m happy every day. I love the winter holiday.
