It's Saturday afternoon. The weather is fine. There are many people in the park and there are many children at the zoo. The children like the zoo. They like to see the animals in it. They like the panda best.

Tom and his father are from England. They are at the zoo.

"The panda is very lovely. Can I get a toy panda somewhere?" Tom asks his father.

"Sure. Now let's go to that shop over there," says the father

They're now in the shop. There're many kinds of toys there.

"Which one do you like, the big one or the small one?" the father asks.

"I like the big one" says Tom.

"All right, Let's get the big one," says his lather.

"Thank you, Dad." Tom says happily.

David is a good boy. He obeys the rules at school. In David's school, there are many rules for the students. For example(例如), they should listen carefully and talk actively in class; they should hand in their homework on time. They shouldn't be late for school; they shouldn't make noise in class. David obeys all these rules. All the teachers in the school like him very much. But sometimes he is not a good boy at home. David's father writes some rules for him. David should help to do housework. He should keep his room clean. He shouldn't watch TV too often or get up late.

   Dogs are man's good friends. Some dogs are big, and some dogs are small. Dogs are very clever, but they can't see colours. They are colour-blind. In a dog's eyes, everything is black, white and grey. How can a dog hunt (捕猎) for food then? Dogs can run very fast. They can hear (听) and smell (闻) very well, too.

Many animals can't see colours. Lions, tigers, cats, cows and sheep are all colour-blind. But monkeys can see colours. Many birds, fish and insects (昆虫) can see colours, too.

   Bob is a school boy. He's twelve. He lives in Shanghai now. He is from England. He studies in a primary school. He gets up at 5:30 in the morning. He has breakfast at seven. After that he goes to school with his friends. They have four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. In the evening he does his homework at home, but on Saturday evening he often watches TV. Bob likes drawing. He often goes to the art club. He likes reading. Now he is reading a storybook in his room.
