The idea of kites helped people to make planes. In 1894 in Australia, Lawrence Hargrave made four very big kites. These four kites lifted him 5 metres into the air. Today, the wings of planes are just like kites.

San Francisco is a hilly city. The lovely hills in the middle of the city make it the most wonderful place.
