The Smarts are looking at a map of China. They want to visit many places during(在……期间) their winter holiday. Mr Smart wants to visit Tibet. He wants to climb the mountains and ride a horse. Mrs Smart wants to go to Hong Kong. She wants to do some shopping. Amy wants to go to Harbin. She wants to see the beautiful snow and she wants to skate and ski. Sam wants to go to Guilin. He likes the   mountains and the stones. He wants to row a boat. Tom wants to stay at home and play computer games.

Daming has a cousin. His name is Simon. He lives in New York. He likes riding a bike and reading books. Simon's family invited( 邀请 )Daming to visit America, Daming meets Laura there. She's Simon’s friend. She wants Daming to be her Chinese pen friend. She can’t write in Chinese, but Daming can write in English.

In China, there are lots of interesting places to go. But I want to go to Hangzhou best. Why? Because Hangzhou is a beautiful and clean city. Especially, the West Lake is the place we must visit. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world, I think. And I also want to visit Harbin. It is white and clean there, but it is cold in winter. I want to go to all the places in China. They are all fantastic.

This is the UN building. It’s a very important building in New York. The building is beautiful. It’s very big and very tall. The UN wants to make peace in the word. The UN is an international organization composed of sovereign states. It was founded on October 24th, 1945, and every year of 24th in October is the UN Day. Many countries are in the UN. You know, our country is in the UN. China is one of the 193 member states in the UN, and we are proud of it.

Jack is an old man. He likes walking in the street after dinner. And he usually goes home at eight o'clock. But a police car stops in front of his house tonight. A policeman helps him get out. Then the policeman tells Jack's wife, "The old man is lost in the street.  He asks me to take him home. " After the policeman leaves, his wife asks, "Jack, you walk in that street every night. How can you be lost?"Jack says, "I am not lost. I am just tired. And I don't want to go home on foot. "

I am an American girl. My name is Alice Green. I am twelve. I have two brothers. My brothers and I are all students. We like going to school by bike. We go to school from Monday to Friday. We don't have classes on Saturday and Sunday.

My father and mother are teachers. They like China very much. They say China is great and the Chinese people are very friendly. I want to visit China.

I like reading a lot. Now I am reading a Chinese storybook. I like it. I think the stories in it are very interesting. My brothers also like them.
