Everyone wants to have good manners, but it is not so easy. We must be careful of everything in our life. There is something we should know.
First, say “hello” to the people you meet, to your teachers, to your friends and classmates, and maybe to your neighbours. Second, try to help the others in need. Then very o will like you. And if you are in trouble, they will help you, too. Third, don’t laugh at others. That will be impolite.
Good manners make things easier. They can help people to live happily with each other. When you are nice to people, they will be nice to you, too.
1.It’s so easy for everyone to have good manners.Being polite is very important. If you are polite to others, they will be polite to you. In English there are many words to show you are polite. Many visitors don’t know when to use “please”. When they go into a café and say “A coffee.” or “I want a coffee.” These might be OK for the English people. But they can be very impolite to an English ear if you are a visitor. So adding a simple “please” would make it better. “A coffee, please.” or “I would like a coffee, please.” will make you a polite visitor.
In fact, you can be even more polite: “Sorry, could you tell me the way to Oxford Street, please?” “Sorry, could you tell me your name again, please?” It’s very common to start a request (请求) with the word “sorry”.
If you ask for help, try “I’m sorry to bother you.” or “But could you possibly help me, please?” And you might say to a friend “Hey, John. Lend me $100, will you?” But you couldn’t say this to somebody you do not know well.
