At the same time, many of Mo Yan’s novels were made into movies. All these made Mo Yan become one of the most famous writers in China. In 2012, Mo Yan won the world’s famous prize for writing, the Nobel Prize. This is the biggest news for China because Mo Yan is the first Chinese to win such a great prize in literature (文学).Then Mo Yan became the world’s famous writer.

Qian Xuesen was born in Shanghai on December 11,1911. He is known as the father of China’s space program (航天计划).When he was 24 years old, Qian went to America for further (更进一步的) studies. In 1955, he came back to China though the American government tried to stop him. Then, he devoted himself to science, especially to the space program. He helped build China’s rockets，missiles(导弹) and satellites (卫星). Mr Qian has been dead for many years, but he will live in the memory (记忆) of Chinese people forever，.

Bill was born in a poor family in 1946. His father died when he was very young. When he was a little boy, his mother remarried (再婚) Roger Clinton, so Bills family name is"Clinton". Clinton studied very hard at school. In the summer of 1963, Clinton visited Washington D.C. During his visit, he met President (总统) Kennedy in the White House. From then on, he made up his mind (立志) to become a president. Finally, Clinton became the 42nd president of the USA. He was one of the youngest presidents in the USA.

Jack Ma is a very famous Chinese. He first led his team to build the largest B2B commercial website (公司对公司的商业网站) Alibaba.com and then built one of the largest C2C commercial websites (个人对个人的商业网站) taobao.com. These two websites let Jack Ma be both rich and famous in the world.

Jack was born in 1963 in Hangzhou. He worked as an English teacher after finishing school. But in 1995, a trip to the USA totally changed his life. He thought China should build up and develop its own websites. So he tried his best to do what he could think of.

He first built the website China Yellow Page, but sold it in 1997. In 1999, he began to build up the website Alibaba.com with his team. And then in 2003, he started taobao.com. Both of the websites made great success. Now people all over the world are using the two websites to make money or buy and sell things.

Liu Xiang is one of the most famous Chinese athletes. He was born in 1983 in Shanghai. When he was in Grade 4, he was good at high jump and got a medal (奖牌) in the school sports meeting.

When he was 15, he began the hurdles (跨栏运动) and made great success in many international games (国际比赛). And in 2004, he won the 110-metre hurdles gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games. This made him world-famous. But it was a painful pity, he didn’t get any success at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games because he got seriously hurt on his leg. After 13 months, in 2010, he won his third 110-metre hurdles gold medal in the Asian Games. But once again, he got seriously hurt at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Liu Xiang is one of the most famous athletes, as famous as the NBA star Yao Ming. The Olympic gold medal made him both rich and famous, but it also brought him a lot of pain. So in 2015, he had to retire (退休) from this sport.

Charlie Chaplin was born in London on April 16th, 1889. His parents were music hall actors. The Chaplin family were very poor, and life was difficult in London. Little Charlie had to do his mother’s job in the theatre when she was ill.

When he was only 17 years old, Chaplin got his first real job working as an actor. What he did was to do silly things to make people laugh in the theatre. Seven years later he went to the USA. And over the next four years, he made his own way of art. He made himself a homeless gentleman. And then he became very popular.

From the 1920s to the 1950s, Chaplin made his most famous films. Many of his films told about the poor life and hard time of the working people during that time.

When he was 83 years old, he won his only Oscar for a film music he wrote. He was named Sir Charlie Chaplin(卓别林爵士) when he was 85. Charlie Chaplin died in Switzerland on December 25th, 1977.
