In the morning, Mr. Brown goes to work and the children go to school. Their father takes them to school every day.

Mrs. Brown stays at home every day. She does the housework. She always eats her lunch at noon. In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends. They often drink tea together.

In the evening, the children come home from school. They arrive home early. Mr. Brown comes home from work. He arrives home late.

At night, the children always do their homework. Then they go to bed. Mr. Brown usually reads his newspaper, but sometimes he and his wife watch television.

Ben is a boy of eleven years old. He's in Park Primary School. The new term starts on Tuesday, 1st of September.

This is Rose's house. It's very small, but it isn't dirty. Her school is not far(远) from here. She walks to school with her classmates, Tom and Simon. Beside her house, there is a park. Rose is in the park on Sunday morning. She can see a lot of(许多) people there. Some are walking, some are dancing and some are chatting(聊天). She can see beautiful flowers and some butterflies there, too. She can also(也) listen to the bird's song. She likes the birds very much. But she doesn't like ladybirds. They are happy in the park.

Tom is seven years old. He goes to school every day. The school is far from his home. So he goes there by taxi and comes back home on time (准时). But today he is late. His mother asks him, “Why are you late today?” “I am in the headmaster's (校长)office. ” “Why do you go to the headmaster's office?” “Because my teacher asks us a question in class, and nobody (没人) can answer it, but I can. ” “It's good to answer the teacher's questions.”“But the question is 'Who puts glue on my chair?'"   

Alice’s birthday is on the 20th of December. Her parents say to her, “Happy Birthday, dear! We have a present for you. Go and look for it in your bedroom.”

Alice runs to her room. She sees a red box on the bed. She opens it, but there is only a card in it. She reads the card.

“Dear Alice, I’m your present. My first three letters are the same as in the word ‘come’. My last two letters are the same as in the word ‘water’. My middle three letters are the same as the word ‘put’. What am I? Come and look for me in the study.”

Alice thinks hard . Then she knows what present it is. She runs to the study and finds her present on the desk. What is Alice’s present?

He's got two large bottles of water, three oranges, four bananas, two hamburgers and a packet of crisps. Suddenly (突然) they see a spaceship in the sky. It is small and round. It is falling. A big red man comes out. The boys are afraid. The red man smiles (微笑) at them. He needs some water for his spaceship. The spaceship cannot fly without (没有) water. Jack gives a large bottle of water to him. He puts it in the spaceship. The spaceship flies away.
