There are twelve months in a year. My favourite month is July. Because My birthday is in July. I can receive many gifts from my parents and friends. And I have a summer vacation in July. It is often hot and sunny in July. I can wear my favourite shorts in July. It has many colourful flowers on it. Sometimes it’s stormy. But I can do a lot of things in July. I can swim in July. I can eat ice cream too. I feel so happy. I don’t like cold weather. I like July.

There is a city in the world. People do not drive cars in that city. It is called Venice (威尼斯). Venice is in Italy (意大利). There are no streets in Venice. But there are canals. The canals look like streets. There is much water in those canals. In Venice people ride about the city in boats. You father and mother may ride in a bus to work. In Venice, father and mother                    ride in boats.

Water is very important for us. We must drink water every day. We can’t live without water.

Water is everywhere around us. At home, we use water to wash clothes and dishes, cook rice and take a bath. At work, people use water to put out fires, to grow vegetables and make electricity.

But do you know there isn't enough water on the earth? We should save water and reuse water. Just do it, for the natural world.

After that (之后), put the nearly boiling water into your teacup. Then, stir (搅拌) your coffee and put some sugar in it. Finally, enjoy the wonderful drink. " But his friends still do not like to make the coffee. They like to drink Ben's coffee. They talk to each other and play football together. They are happy.

Hello, I'm Helen. I'm nine years old. I'm in Garden City Primary School. Jane is my classmate. We're good friends. Today is Sunday. Jane and I are visiting Aunt Wang by bicycle. She lives in Pudong. It's 1:45 now. Aunt Wang is teaching us how to make some tea. First, we boil the water. Next she asks us to put some tea in the teapot. Then we pour the hot water into the teapot. With her help, we drink the tea finally. Oh, It tastes great! It's 3:45 now. We must say goodbye to Aunt Wang.

In some countries, some people don't like the number 13. They don't think 13 is a lucky number. For example, they don't like to live on the thirteenth floor. One day, my friend Jack asked some friends to dinner. When all of his friends arrived, he asked them to sit at the table. He began to count the people. Suddenly he cries out, "Oh, there are thirteen people here!" Everyone's face turned white except Mr Brown. He said slowly with a smile on his face. "Don't worry, my dear friends. We have fourteen people here. My wife Mrs Brown will have a baby in a few weeks." All of them become happy again.

Today is Saturday. Ben, Kitty and Mum are at home. Ben and Kitty want to go out and play.   But Mum doesn’t agree with them because it’s a rainy day. So they have to（不得不）stay at home and watch TV in the living-room. The weatherman on TV tells them that tomorrow will be a fine day. So they are very happy. Kitty plans to ride to the zoo with Alice and Ben wants to go and play football with his friends. There is no sugar and salt in the kitchen. So Mum needs to go to the supermarket tomorrow. All of them will be busy tomorrow.
