A Naughty Boy

John is a very naughty boy. He likes to make jokes. His classmates like him because he often makes them laugh for a long time. One day, a new student came to his class. The student said that his younger brother, Tom, never laughed. No one and nothing could make him laugh. John did not believe this, so he asked the student to bring Tom to his home on Sunday. John told Tom many funny stories. Everyone laughed, but Tom did not. At last, John gave up. On Monday, the student told John that Tom was deaf.

Then the man gave the money to her and ran away. After ten minutes, the man went back, “My cat wants a bowl to drink. Can you give this bowl to me?”

“I’m sorry I can’t give it to you. Thanks to the bowl, it helps me sell many cats a day.” The woman answered.

In spring, the trees turn green. Grass comes out. People go to parks for fun.

Look! Two women and four children are having a picnic there. There is food and drinks on the blanket. There is also a round watch. The birds are flying in the sky. There is a model ship in the river. Everyone is happy.

A new hamburger

People in Canada can eat a new hamburger at McDonald’s now. The new hamburger looks the same as normal (普通的) hamburger. It has a meat pie and some vegetables. But the “meat” doesn’t come from animals like pigs or cows. It is from plants (植物).

The hamburger has more than 20 ingredients (成分). The main ingredient is pea protein (豆蛋白). The meat is very yummy. It tastes (尝起来) like beef. But it is so soft.

The new hamburger is good for our body. It doesn’t have a lot of oil or fat. Would you like to eat this new hamburger?
