Almost all the students go to traditional schools now. But there will probably be a new type of education in the future—open education.
There are some very good things about open education. This way of teaching allows the students to develop their interests in many subjects. Open education asks students to be strict with their own education. The open classroom may help them to enjoy learning. Some students will be happier in an open education school. They will not have to worry about grades or rules.
But many students may not do well in open education. They will not make good use of open education. Because open education is so different from traditional education, these students may have a problem of getting used to making so many choices. The last point about open education is that some teachers do not like it. They do not believe in open education.
I think that open education is only a good idea. It may not work very well in a real class or school. I believe that most students want and need to have some rules. They have to study some subjects. Many students are pleased to find the subjects that they have to study so interesting. They will not study those subjects if they do not have to in an open education school.

Think of some great minds you like. You will probably find that their success didn’t come easily. As “Father of Hybrid Rice(杂交水稻)”, Yuan Longping got over great difficulties and spent his whole life working to increase rice production and helping to feed the country with the largest population.

Wu Mengchao, the “Father of Chinese Hepatobiliary Surgery(肝胆外科)”, focused on saving people’s lives for nearly eighty years. He did more than 16, 000 operations during his life. Holding the surgeon’s knife for such a long time deformed his fingers but he still kept doing operations. Wu once said, “It would be my greatest happiness if I could work at the operating table until the last moment of my life.”

In 1969, in order to solve the problem of treating malaria(疟疾), Tu Youyou, worked as head of a research team. They did different kinds of experiments. However, the results were not satisfactory. Instead of giving up, they kept trying. Finally, in 1972, they made it! In 2015, at the age of 85, she received the Nobel Prize.

Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb believed that every failure was a step towards success. He once said, “If I find 10, 000 ways that won’t work, I haven’t failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong try is another step forward.”

Sometimes, their success was a surprise, even to themselves, even after a long time of their hard work. The famous scientist Alexander Fleming said, “When l woke up just after daybreak on 28th September, 1928, I just began another busy day with my research as I did many days and nights before. And I certainly didn’t plan to make a great difference to all medicine by discovering the world’s first antibiotic(抗生素). But I guess that was exactly what I did.”

Some people only became successful after their deaths. The artist Vincent Van Gogh only sold one painting all through his life and that was to a friend. But he kept painting and he painted more than 2000 artworks in the following ten years. Now his paintings are very popular and they sell for millions of pounds.

One thing all these people have in common is that they never give up and stick to their goals no matter what happens.

A recent study in Japan has shown that a wearable soft robot named Reliebo, can improve the experience of patients in medical treatments, such as injections (注射) and other unhappy cure. The purpose of the robot is to help ease pain and against anxiety.

The study, led by researchers at the University of Tsukuba, was inspired in part by the many needles people had to suffer while being vaccinated(接种疫苗)against COVID-19. Some people felt an strong dislike for these needles, which led to fewer people getting vaccinated.

The robot is soft and covered in fur. It contains small airbags inside that inflate(膨胀)to make band movement. Participants in the study who wore the robot while suffering from injections, experienced less pain in the test than those who did not wear the robot. The test proved that the pain and anxiety being felt could be reduced sharply by subsiding the experience of pain through using the robot.

The research team checked the functions of the wearable robot while being handled by participants, based on the holding of the hand tightly. The team placed injections on the other arm that was not holding the robot. The people in the study were given a survey test to judge their fear of injections before and after the experiment with the wearable robot was completed.

The study proved that holding the robot can ease the experience of patients who were receiving injections. The research team hopes to use this study to advance the robot for use during painful situations, such as getting medical shots or similar conditions.

1.What is the function of the robot?
A.To help doctors in injecting.
B.To help reduce people’s pain from injections.

4.What will researchers probably do next?
A.Judge the risk of the robot.B.Carry out more tests on the robot.

A.A robot can ease pain from injections.
