My name is Tom. In my family, Mom controls the budget (控制预算). She loves money very much. It’s not easy to ask for money from her. I am unhappy.

I shouted to Mom, “You are so mean.” The next morning, Mom gave me some money and said “This month you will do the ‘easy’ job!

I was so excited. I gave Mom 500 yuan to buy some crabs. I bought my dad a new wallet. I bought Mom a new bag. Of course, I bought a new football and a robot for myself. Everybody was happy.

There were ten days left. I still had some money. “Mom, I did it.” I shouted. “Wait a minute. There are some bills (账单), water, gas, and electricity” Mom said. “And phone”, Dad added.

“Oh, my goodness!” I shouted.
