Journey to the north (北方)
Last summer, a special “tour group” caught people’s eyes. This group was a family of 15 wild (野生的，野外的) Asian (亚洲的) elephants. They lived in Xishuangbanna (西双版纳) in the south of Yunnan. The year before last, they left their home and started to move north. They traveled more than 500 kilometers and visited many places in Yunnan, including (包括) Pu’er, Yuxi and Eshan. They walked through mountains, forests, rivers and even city streets. They ate in the fields and slept in the wild. Everyone wanted to know when the elephants would stop walking.
