Peter is ten years old. One day his friend Paul asks him to come to his birthday party. Before Peter leaves (离开) home, his mother says to him, “Be sure to be polite (礼貌) at the party, dear! Don’t want this or that. Don’t want more.” “All right, mum” answer Peter.

There are a lot of children at Paul’s party. Paul’s mother gives them some nice food to eat. But she forgets (忘记) to give Peter some. Peter waits (等待) politely. Peter waits and waits. Then he stands up and says loudly, “Does anyone want a clean plate? I have one.” Paul’s mother sees him and his empty plate. She says to Peter, “Oh, sorry, I forget you!”
