Mo Yan is a writer, and he is very famous. Mo Yan is his pen name. His real name is Guan Moye. He was born (出生) in a village of Shandong in 1955. When he was a child, he loved writing very much. He worked hard at his lessons. But his family was very poor at that time. His parents were farmers. When he was twelve, he had to leave school and start to work. At first, he worked on a farm. Later, he worked in a factory. In 1976, he became a soldier (士兵) and began to write. He wrote a lot of books. On October 11, 2012, Mo Yan won the Nobel Literature Prize (诺贝尔文学奖). He became the first Chinese writer to win it. “I am very surprised and happy, but I will keep on writing in the future (将来)!” Mo Yan said. He is so great.
