The moon is smaller than the earth (地球). There is no air or water there. It is too hot in the day and too cold at night. So nothing can live on the moon. Everything on the moon is much lighter because there is no gravity (重力). Walking on the moon is like jumping and flying. So we can jump higher on the moon than on the earth. The Americans took about five days to get to the moon in 1969, one day we are going to visit the moon.
