The Lion and the Mouse

One day, a lion is sleeping. A mouse jumps on his tail. The lion is very angry. He catches the mouse and wants to eat him. The mouse begs, “Let me go, please! I will help you someday!”

The lion says, “You cannot help me! You are so small!” Then he smiles and lets the mouse go.

Three days later, the lion falls into a big net. “Help! Help!” the lion cries. The mouse hears the lion and runs to the lion. The mouse says, “Let me help you!” He runs up the tree and gnaws through (咬断) the rope with his teeth.

The lion is saved (得救了). They are good friends now.
