This July, my family and I visited a museum about ______ called MUCHO Museo de Chocolate in Mexico City.
When we first ______ at the museum, we were greeted by our tour guide, the only person who ______ English at the place. She told us chocolate is made of cacao beans(可可豆). Then she let us ______ real cacao beans. They were different from normal chocolate, because they were not ______.
The museum was divided into different rooms. In the first one, we learned that the Mayans saw cacao as a magical thing that fed the mind, body, and spirit. They would ground the beans into powder and mix it ______ ingredients(食材) to create a bitter drink. It was ______ poured from different heights to create foam(泡沫). This played a big role in their ______.
Then we got to learn about the beginnings of chocolate, see dried cacao tree leaves, and smell the other ingredients ______. I also took photos ______ a wall covered with more than 2,000 pieces of chocolate!
One of my favorite rooms ______ many different pots, cups, and kettles(壶) from all over the world. ______ were used to hold chocolate or chocolate powder. There was even one from China!
The visit to the chocolate museum was ______, but I sure did learn a lot about a very popular treat.
