The Chongyang Festival is a traditional festival in China. We also call it the Double Ninth Festival 1． it falls on the ninth day of the ninth month on the Chinese lunar（农历） calendar. It has a history of more than 2,000 years. In Chinese culture, the number nine is 2． (large) number—it’s a homonym（同音词） to the Chinese word jiu, which means “a long and healthy life”. In ancient（古老的） China, people usually went hiking or climbed mountains 3． their family and friends during the festival. Besides, they 4． (drink) Chrysanthemum wine（菊花酒） and ate Chongyang cakes on that day. They thought these could bring them good luck and best 5． (wish).
