On Oct. 30, Ado Campeol who 1． a restaurant passed away at the age of 93. He is known as “the father of tiramisu”.

Tiramisu translates into English as “pick me up”. According to the BBC, it was an 2． invention. And it has been 3． accepted for about 40 years. One day, cook Roberto wanted to make ice-cream. However, he 4． dropped some cheese into the bowl. He was so amazed and ran to tell his boss Campeol. Campeol and his wife Alba added some coffee-flavored biscuits and covered the 5． with cocoa powder to improve the dessert. In 1972, tiramisu was on the list of his restaurant’s menu.

When the dish appeared in the local newspaper in 1981, it got tons of attention and became worldwide.

“The 6． of tiramisu has risen around because it could be 7． as a dessert, but would be an amazing choice at breakfast as well,” noted National Geographic.

Many people want to make their 8． and create their own dessert. 9． from pumpkin to lemon to matcha (抹茶) has been added to it. In order to stick to the earliest way to make tiramisu, an 10． politician (政治家), Luca Zaia, called on the European Union to give the dish protected status (状态) in 2013.
