Now, AI(人工智能)is smart enough to check loneliness(孤独)in humans.
A new study shows how AI can know the degrees of loneliness from a person’s words. 80 people aged 66 to 94 took part in the study because they often felt lonely. They were asked 20 questions, such as “How often do you feel lonely?” and “How often do you get together with your friends?”
The interesting thing is that it uses dictionary-based methods. For example, it can look for words to show fears. It also gives answers by testing their words. If people felt lonelier, their answers about loneliness were longer. It can know the degrees of loneliness in each topic. It also shows differences between men and women. If a man felt lonely, he used more words to show his fears. If a woman felt lonely, she expressed her lonely feelings directly.
