This Sunday is Holly’s eleventh birthday. She’s going to have a birthday party with her family and friends. Her friends are coming to the party this Sunday evening On that morning Holly is going to the supermarket with her mum. They are going to buy some food and drinks. Holly is also going to buy some candles and birthday hats.

I’d like to invite you to my birthday party. It’s on Sunday, December 15th. It’s my eighteenth birthday. My parents will have a big party for me. Many of my classmates and friends will come to my party. We will sing birthday songs , play party games , eat the big birthday cake. I hope everyone has a good time on this special day. The party will begin at 8:00 p.m. Please arrive before 7:50 p.m.

This weekend, Mike is going to Xitou Village (溪头村) with his friends. They are going to camp in that village. There is a clean stream. They can camp by the stream. And at night, they can watch the beautiful stars. They are going to stay there for a night. They will drive there at 8:00 on Saturday morning. It will take them about one and a half hours to arrive at the village. When they arrive, they will take a walk along the stream. Then they will have lunch together in a restaurant. After lunch, they will pay by the stream and get everything ready for the camping. And they will drive back home on Sunday afternoon. Mike is sure they will have a good time.

Mary Smith is the youngest girl in our class. Her parents are going to give her a birthday party. Mary will be twelve years old. Tomorrow will be Mary’s birthday and many of Mary’s friends will come to her birthday party. Twelve girls and five boys will be at the party. All the family are busy with the birthday party now. Mrs Smith is cleaning the house. Mary’s sister Betty is helping her. “I’m going to make a party cake,” Mrs Smith says. “I’ll buy the candles,” Betty says. Mr Smith is busy, too. He is shopping at the market. He is going to buy fruit, sweets and juice for the party. And he is going to buy a teddy bear for Mary. She wants to have the toy bear very much. He thinks that Mary will be very happy at the party.

I know you like eating different foods in the world. At the food show, we can eat foods from different places, such as dim sum from Guangzhou, zongzi from Zhaoqing, roast duck from Beijing, dumplings from Shanghai and some very hot food from Sichuan. Among (在其中) them, I like hot food from Sichuan best. And we can try Japanese sushi (日本寿司) and Korean cold noodles.
