Where are Aunt Amy and Tony?
One day, when we were sitting at the table, Dad came into the room and said to us with a smile, “I forgot to tell you the good news. There is a letter from Aunt Amy. She’s coming to see us with her little son Tony this afternoon. I’m going to meet them at the station.” We were so happy to hear the good news because I really liked playing with Tony. Mum was happy, too. She missed Aunt Amy very much.
After lunch, Mum and I went to the supermarket. We bought lots of food. Then we went back home and began to clean the house. We were all busy but very happy. At four o’clock we finished all the things and we sat around the table to wait for them. At last Dad came back home alone.
“Where are they?” we asked. Dad laughed and said, “You are all April Fools! Today is 1 April. It’s April Foo’s Day (愚人节)!”
