I have a good friend, Tom. It’s a white little dog. It has big eyes and long ears. It has a short tail. It likes sleeping. Every evening I often take him to the park. It’s very lovely. I like it very much.

An old tiger lived in the forest. He didn’t look for food himself. One day, He was very hungry. He said to the monkey,“Go and look for food for me!” “Sorry, I can’t. There is a tiger over there too. I’m afraid of him! ” “What?”the old tiger was angry. “Show me that tiger!” “Come with me, please,”said the monkey. They came to the river. “Look, he’s in the river! He says he’s the king in the forest!” The tiger was very angry, “I’ll eat him up!” With these words, the tiger jumped into the river.

Mesa is from India. She is tall and thin. She likes rice. Her favorite drink is juice. She doesn’t like tea. Tom likes dumplings. He doesn’t like rice or noodles. He often(经常) drinks milk in the morning. It’s good for him. He likes Chinese food a lot. He is from the UK. Dumplings is my favorite food, and my favorite drink is Chinese Tea. Where am I from? Zhao Shan is a girl from Shandong. She’s six years old. Zhao Kang is her brother.He’s four years old. Zhao Shan and Zhao Kang are hungry now (现在). They would like some noodles for dinner. Zhao Shan can use chopsticks. Zhao Kang can’t use chopsticks. He can use a spoon.

My name is Mike. I have a new pen pal. Her name is Mary. She lives in Australia. Her mother is a coach. She works in a gym. She goes to work by car. She likes watching TV and listening to music. Her father is a doctor. He likes playing basketball and swimming. He goes to work by subway. Mary is a student. She goes to school on foot, because her home is not far from her school. Mary likes collecting stamps and riding a bike.

In a Park

Today is Saturday. It’s sunny. Kathy and her sister are in a park. It’s a big park, and it’s beautiful. There are many colourful(五彩缤纷的) flowers in it. They can see many people here. Some boys are playing basketball. Some girls are playing badminton(羽毛球). Some old men are playing Chinese chess under the trees. How happy they are! Do you think so?

It’s Amy’s birthday party. Lingling, Daming and Sam are at the party. Look! Daming is eating noodles. He is using chopsticks. Sam is eating cakes. He is using a knife and fork. Amy is singing and Lingling is dancing. They are very happy.

Linda and Mary are good friends. They are both twelve years old now. Linda’s birthday is on September 9th and Mary’s birthday is on Teachers’ Day. Their homes are both in Sunflower Estate(住宅区) but in different blocks(栋). Linda lives in Block 8 and Alice lives in Block11. They are classmates. They usually go to school together. They both like sports. But their favourite sports are different. Linda likes table tennis. Mary likes volleyball. Where are they now? Oh! They are playing basketball together in the playground now. How happy they are!

My name is Jane. I’m from Canada. I live in Ottawa. I’m eleven years old. I always get up at 7:00, and then I wash my face. I eat my breakfast at 7:30 a.m. My favourite food is beef. I like milk very much. I go to school after breakfast. Classes start at 8:30. We have English, science, and music in the morning. I eat lunch at school. In the afternoon, I always play sports on the playground with my friend Sarah. We are very happy.
